Default Best Printer for Cardstock

I am in the market for a new printer, but want to make sure it can handle cardstock. Which printers have you found to work best?

I don't know about the "best" one, but I would make sure that it has a straight paper path and doesn't turn the paper as it comes through.

I've used several different brands of printers over the years with all kinds of paper of various weights. I've never had a problem with any printer I've used. The HPs (they turn the paper over for printing) work well also.

My only negative printer would be the Lexmark and only due to the higher cost I found for the ink cartridges (but that was several years ago).

I like to look for printers that allow me to use various sizes of paper/cardstock. Some printers don't have adjustments for small sizes. I try to stay away from printers that are advertised as Photo Printers for just that reason.

I currently have 2 HPs, Epson and Canon.

These are just my personal opinions and certainly may not be shared by others.

I've got two. An HP B/W Laser printer and an HP color photo printer. I use the laser for everyday and for printing sentiments on cardstock. It's great and the toner has a very long life. The photo printer is reserved for color/photos because while it makes great impressions, the ink is expensive. They're both older models (at least 4 years) and have had NO problems, ever.

Love them both. Love HP!

I have 2 Canon printers that I love. I have an all-in-one, which does NOT take cardstock easily. I have to put it in the top feed and push down a little to get it to feed.

I also have the Canon pixma. I love this printer. It is only used for pictures and crafts. It takes cardstock very well and feeds smoothly.

I have a Canon Pixma MP500 (all-in-one) that takes cardstock with no problems.

When shopping around for a printer, I recommend taking some cardstock to the store with you and ask if you can do a test print on it. I did this at Best Buy and a local retailer with no problems.
