Best new product (last 6 months)
I haven't been on much lately. My house is being remodeled so my stamp supplies are completely boxed up and in storage. It's going to end soon. What's new in stamping/scrapbooking? What have I missed? Best new stamps? Think of me as an experienced new stamper. ;)
we are memory keepers corner chomper is pretty hot.
also make sure you have a medium-ish scallop circle punch (the SU one is the right size) because there are these flowers everyone is making out of them that are HOT.
Stampin UP is doing unmounted stamps that you use clear blocks with now. They are pretty cool.

Isn't that basically the same one Zutter put out a few years ago? I have the Zutter version and it's great!
As for the OP, there's been a huge explosion in the types and varieties of punches put out in the last year or so. Martha Stewart products are hot and Michael's has removed the restriction that you can't use coupons on her products. They also like to put her products on sale (usually 30% off). She also has a new score board out which is cheap and good.
Tim Holtz is majorly expanding his line too. He's coming out with all sorts of die cuts, embossing plates, and all sorts of other goodies.
Also, a new hot thing is wool felt. Papertrey Ink is about to come out with a line of their felt in colors that match their inks. Other companies currently have large lines of felt you can buy, even though those aren't traditional scrapping or stamping companies.

I can't wait to get the Tim Holtz stuff...it is so cool and so different than anything that I have seen out there. I have bought a bunch of stuff on line lately from Gina K. and Custom Crops(new cuttlebug folders). Can't wait til the stuff from the CHA previews hits the stores!
Intrigued. What are these "HOT" flowers and which punch is it??? Dying to know......

Stampin' Up! now has unmounted "clear mount" rubber stamps and acrylic blocks, in addition to its original line of stamps that you mount on wood blocks.
Oh sweet heavenly mother, those are beautiful. Thank you for the links, I am printing and trying tonight when I get home from work. I, too, prefer non-video tutorials. Thanks so much Julie!!!
Great thread!! I have been neglecting my stamping room for a few months as well and was back on looking for inspiration and possibly some new toys to get me going again!
Thanks for all the links girls...I am lost to the world with these fun things!

My mom is going to Japan this fall. I'm thinking about asking her to pick me up a bunch of assorted washi tapes. I wonder if it would be cheaper if she bought it there...
Probably. Over there, the pretty origami and washi papers are considerably less expensive, from what I hear, but you might post here on the forum if anybody stationed in Japan could verify that?
How lovely for your mom to travel to Japan--I am envious!

I agree with the Martha Stewart punches. Love the Around-the-Corner sets! I just ordered a slice and can't wait to get the adapter and the new 12" plate that makes it hands-free. They will be out some time this month. I also have a pre-order on Nellie Snellen flower punches that punch AND emboss...they look like Primas!
The best new thing in the past six months, IMO, are Mo Manning's digital images! In fact, she just started making images for paper-crafters exactly 6 months ago!
So many new and wonderful things out there....and I want them all! LOL!

There is a much bigger range of embossing folders. I like the Crafts Too embossing folders which are from the UK. They fit in the Cuttlebug and are slightly bigger than CB folders but you use them with the same sandwich.
And all those border punches: MS and EK Success. They really float my boat.
And buttons & more buttons - buttons are so "in". I love the way Papertrey Ink have incorporated them to be used with their images. I can't get the stamps here in Australia  but they are such a great idea & very inspirational.

I have the Zutter version, too, and they are great on chipboard, etc. But they don't work at all on paper or card-stock. These new ones work on EVERYTHING I've tried them on, and they come in different shapes besides just the rounded corners. Check them out; I think you'd like them.

Can you tell me what these new Slice products are and what makes them hands free?
Can you tell me what these new Slice products are and what makes them hands free?
New Slice....very exciting!
They have made a collar that you place over your Slice which makes the machine magnectic. And then they have a 12x12 glass mat one side and embossing on the other side, both magnetic so your slice stays put no more need to hold it in place!
They have lots more deisgn cards.
You can now cut fabric, you iron this material on first then cut and peel off the material again.
They have spray adhesive now.
They have embossing tips and felt tip tips! You can emboss the image and then shadow cut it out!
