Anyone that went to the first session can you answer a question for us...My group is taking the Red Eye out and we have to be at our hotel by 10:30 p.m.
Can you tell us if we are missing any of the awards and is it worth staying
and taking a later flight? We are so indecisvie and just need more information before we can make our final decisions...Any help is appreciated....

Oh my goodness the band that they had playing at awards night was SO GOOD!!!! They were Ryan Shupe and the RubberBand and I am SO glad I didnt' miss them! They were totally worth staying for, in my opinion! I loved their music and they were totally funny and had me laughing and dancing and toe tapping the whole time.
The awards were nice and I'm very happy for the recipients, but the band made it like you got a free concert.
The only thing I enjoyed about the awards night was the band and cheering for the head of our group who got couple of awards. If that didn't happen, I may have skipped out as we didn't have too much outside time to enjoy the city. But I have to agree...the band rocked! From what I heard from fellow demos, this year's entertainment was the best by far.

The awards night ended around 10, if I remember right. The band was all through the night. I stayed later to stand in line to purchase a couple of their Cd's and was sucked into getting t-shirts for my kids, too! You just leave when you need to, but you'll get to see most of it, probably. It's quite a drive to the airport, though - about 45 min+ by shuttle. Then don't forget to allow time for the security line. That took 20 min. today before my 9:00 a.m. flight. HTH!
Let me just add to Staci's comment-- the awards night INCLUDING entertainment ended at 10pm. The announcing of awards was actually done by about 9:00 or 9:15.
The band is AWESOME! Stay as long as you possibly can-- but don't miss your flight!
The band was definitely awesome! And bring your wallet! You'll want to buy a CD (or two or three!) LOL :-) I got the CD's and they were as great as the band!
I was at awards night session 1, and I am CERTAIN that I walked out the door NO EARLIER than 10:30 (staying until the end of the band). I didn't wait on line for a CD (that is what the internet is for, lol)......plus the line was about 150 people long.
The concert wasn't over until about 10:30, but was awesome. The awards were done by about 9:15.

I am with operagirl - my watch said 10:40 (Denver time) as we were walking out of the convention center. For this first timer I thought awards and the band were awesome. I wouldn't have wanted to miss a moment!
Do not miss awards night!! I was not looking forward to it. But I was surprised how happy I was for everyone that went up on stage! I am very inspired by them. But more than that...I was shocked to see some of those women had been rubbing shoulders with me and never ever acted better than anyone! I was just so surprised! And so happy for them!! Karen Gregorian, oh my word, she just has such a big heart! I've never met her before but when I bumped into her at the bathroom and congratulated her she was sooo gracious and hugged me!
Anyway, the band was definitely my fave part! Such energy and humor!!! Wow! I couldn't get over how impressive and talented the band is! And I am sooo grateful I didn't miss them!
Ok, enough gushing.
The band was fantastic. And afterwards, Shoupe and the other guys showed cards they made! Shelley asked for all of them for her scrapbook. Did they show cards during the first session awards night?
