I am on my second set, mostly because my 2 yo (then 16 mos) chewed one up. But I was wondering how long your last? I use them about every time I stamp...which is 4-5 times a week (sometimes more). I was wondering how long they were lasting for all of you. I almost exsclusively use the med one. That's a lot of watercoloring.
I too have been using the same one for a year...no problems. It had sort of a bad hair time after my 11 year old jammed the cap on kinda weird but after some patient styling it's back to normal.
I just ordered my second set, but I use them a lot. My old set was getting a little thin and the brush part was spreading out. If not doing a lot of detail they work fine, but I am using the new ones for the more detailed cards.
I haven't tried them yet.....still using brushes and water. Tell me why I "have to" have these? I like the versatility of different kinds of brushes and the Aquapainters seem a bit expensive. Don't mean to hi-jack..........

As I told someone earlier, I am 'watercoloring challenged.' The aquapainter gives me satisfactory results that I could never achieve with a brush.
And Emily, I'm still on my first set, but I don't use mine near as often as you.
Um, you need them because they ROCK!! Seriously, you can do so much! And they are way way way way way better than a blender pen. You can watercolor with ink squeezed on the inside of a pad lid for a soft look, you can put a drop of reinker on the pad lid for a more bold look, you can use watercolor pencils or crayons...all GORGEOUS!
Okay....i get all of that but I can do that with brushes and water too so what makes the Aquapainter cooler/better???
Well... have you ever sat in a doctor's office for an hour or more, totally bored out of your wits? Stamp a few card fronts... color with water color pencils... drop them and your Aquapainter (already filled with water and capped) into your purse, and you can paint away right there while you wait. If you are a Demo, you may even draw the interest of a new customer or two
Have you ever created a masterpiece, only to move wrong and bump over your water container :( With the Aquapainter, this doesn't happen
The Aquapainter is the go anywhere paintbrush, complete with a no-spill water reservoir... and I love mine! Can you tell? LOL

I found mine at hobby lobby before SU came out with them and they still seem to be working fine... I use them all the time also...and had them for 2.5 years

Hi!
I still prefer to color in with paint brushes, more control and easier to work small areas.
I did just buy a pair of the watercolor brushes because we're leaving on vacation and will be flying. The plane ride is 6 hours each way. I will be stamping up a bunch of images to color in while we're away. The water brushes mean I won't have problems through airport security, I won't have to worry about open containers of water in a small area. So that's why I purchased the brushes. I have played with them a bit. They'll work fine, but my brushes will be packed in my checked luggage, since I'd rather use those.
Hope this helps.
Well, for me, the reason I prefer the aquapainter over brushes is that there is no way in heck I could keep open water in my stamp area ;) I'm way too clumsy for that! LOL!
