I made my very first page tonite!!! Whew.. that was work!!! .. but I must admit it was great fun!! I have 3 DGS's so lots to scrap about!!!
CCW, where is Elkmont? I'm leanin' toward north somewhere??? I'm well aware of our being blessed with Deer and Bobcats... but Elks? ...maybe a school thang? Plenty of elephants and tigers prowlin' the state.. lol.

Hey there everyone (hi shell!!!). I'm in Montgomery, AL by way of Orlando, Texas, Alaska and beyond. Been stampin' since January 2004 and LOVE it. I've decided I want to make some worldwide stampin' friends so I can learn and have fun. Where else to do it than SCS?! Happy Stampin'!
We will be spending a couple of weeks in AL. Does that count?
Seriously, we have reservations at a park near Guntersville for a week, then on to Red Bay (NW Alabama) for a few days. What should we see and where should we shop while near Huntsville?
Where in Guntersville will you be staying?? are you RVers??? cause we are too!! our home is in AL though...we just like to take our hotel on wheels with us when we go away!! our favorite places to stay are Little Mountain Marina, and Guntersville State Park.
When we are in Guntersville we eat at Top O The River...we shop at the grocery store just off the highway...
Reading where everyone is in Bama makes me miss home a little. I am from Bama. My DH is deployed so I will be going home in a few weeks to stay until he gets back and we move to North Dakota. I will be in the Calhoun County (Anniston) area. Anyone around there? No one I know back home is into stamping so I would love to find a fellow stamper.

We are full timers and usually spend our time between Colorado and Arizona. We are nearing the end of 6 weeks in the Pigeon forge, TN area -going to gospel music and later Christmas programs at Dollywood.
We will spend a week at a park called Mt. Lakes - it is a membership affiliate so we can stay free! It is a bit closer to Langston. Have never been in the area so we appreciate all the info we can get. They mention Little Mt. Marina in the directions so it must be close.

I'm about an hour or two away (I know that's not close). My brother lives in Anniston (Weaver) and teaches at Jacksonville St.

Aubrie--you Auburn fans are NUTS! My whole street is done up in orange and blue on game days, and lets not talk about the guy next door with a huge blow up tiger in his front yard!!!! It's such a hoot! I actually wear orange just to avoid the question..."Who ya for?"

My friend is moving to Mont. w/ the AF in April. We were just talking about it the other day. She was worried she would not find any fellow stampers/scrappers in Mont.

U'm not crazy!!;) My DH's family are all Alabama fans and I am sooo outta place come game day!! They can get a little mean about it, but that's a a whole other story!!:rolleyes: I just think its fun! I would love to see the blow up tiger. My DH won't even let me have a AU car tag!!:rolleyes:
My parents were both from Alabama and my husband works for a company that is headquartered in Huntsville. I visited Alabama as a child and also as an adult. So, I do have ties to the state even though I am a native Californian.
I live in Gadsden, which is NE Alabama, about 60 miles north of Birmingham, I live about 30 miles from Anniston....beaudixie, we have a stamp store in Gadsden, you can PM me and I will give you info if you'd like , maybe we could get together....My daughter lives in Las Vegas..... I am a Alabama fan with a Alabama tag on the front, and my rear tag says: SZSTMPR, for susiestampr. Nice to hear from all of y'all.........LOL

I would love to host one but I will be staying with family. I would love to help/organize one though....Put me down for the sausage balls (which through all of my moving around no one has ever heard of them...it's a southern thing!!!)

Yep, the traffic is awful here sometimes. Can't hardley get thru town between 4-7 pm. too much rubber, not enough asphalt :mrgreen:

I wanted to go to Christmas Village so bad but I am still in Nevada. Have fun! As for scrapbook stores...there is one in Trussville called Scrapbook Heaven. Lots of good stuff! You might want to double check that they are still around b/c it has been a while since I have been there.
