Am I a Thread killer......????
There is a post in the Techniques forum for directions on how to do a card,
The directions are in the resources section on here.
I have put a post up saying the directions are there and all people have to do is click to see them.
I repeated my post when the question was asked again, and now someone else has asked for directions!!!!!!!!
Sorry if this offends anyone, but do people not read the posts or do they just jump on a thread where people are asking for something and think they will too.
OR
Is it me and I'm a thread killer!!!!!!!!!!

Ha ha, not sure if you are a thread killer or not. if it makes you feel any better, i've killed more than my share of them! Not knowing the specific posts in question, I think folks see something and they all start thinking of the same question about that thing at the same time. Then, when they have a chance, they ask that question. I suspect that many don't search to see if their question has already been answered because someone will just answer it for them so they don't need to. Or, even if they tried to search, sometimes the search feature just doesn't work all that well and you don't get any results.
So, good for you for continuing to try and educate folks on where to find answers (teach 'em to fish) and for taking the time to do that instead of getting flustered and walking away.

I have to post, just to prove you wrong . . .
To the OP: I think I found the thread you're talking about, and I absolutely believe that people see the original title, think "I want that too!" and post to it without reading. Although if I'm right, on this particular one, they're not even reading the original post which has, in huge red print, exactly where to find the instructions they're looking for!
and to JPMayo - perhaps you are the last poster on so many threads because your post is the quintessential response - you clarify everything so thoroughly that there is nothing left to be said

How can I resist such a challenge? This thread was killed in the library with the lead pipe but not by momis mama.
And not by Shell, either. Similar things happen to me and I agree with the other posters here, I think that since people have such limited time to check everything on SCS, they often just skim through the OP and respond without really reading in detail or checking out the entire thread. So it's not you!
