I swear I have to always be learning something new! I've been trying (really, I have!) to get some cards done! My stash is depleting, Christmas is coming - need cards and gifts, but I can't seem to find the time! Only because I'm working on a quilt for someone, I have scarves to knit, a house to remodel, etc, and I'm also working on more jewelry! How many hobbies can one person have! Am I the only one....please tell me I'm not! :-D
Uhhh, check out my blog title, LOL! And blogging is just another part of my ADD. I'm just about to finish a remodel, I have a skirt and hat ready to knit, Christmas cards to finish, several pizza boxes of scrapbook kits to complete, and then all of the other holiday stuff, the kiln I'm coveting...

Oh! I thought this was normal. I've got so many projects going at one time and there are so many that get started, but never finished. Ouch! I guess I can confess this in a public forum...I've been "working" on a Christmas stocking for my 16-year old daughter since she was born and it's still not finished. Over the years, I've pulled it out and worked a bit on it...but it's only about 50% done. Maybe it will be finished in time for a grandchild. ~~~
no, you're not the only one! I too have several projects going on at once. I have to finish christmas cards, finish decorating a paint can for a gift, finish a calendar, finish a mini album, plus a few other things that I can't think of right now. Did you notice I said finish a lot? I have lots of stuff started but nothing finished.... aghhhh!!!!! I think I spend too much time looking up other people's things on this site.
No, your not the only one. I have so many i just don't know where to start, and then to make it worse i took a class last night on these cute little books and now wondering if I will have time to make a couple of them as gifts. Thought i would have the day just to stay home and play well not now i have a doctors app. this afternoon(another injection). If all goes well i will get a little time this evening. :p
ME too---I still have a coat I started as Christmas present 2000 for DD --undone/okay about half done....and now she lives in Southern CA where they may not need them.
I also have a quilted wallhanging I started 15 years ago....
But the top prize has to go to the quilt blocks purchased in 1976(bicentennial), that were finally stitched in 1986 and still aren't sewn together........

You mean that when we start a project we are actually suppose to finish it, now you tell me LOL. I am always waiting to the last minute to get something done. As for the lady a few post's up with the Christmas stocking, I finally finished an Alphabet sampler that I started for my DD when she was 1 1/2, she is now 23 so don't feel to bad. I have so many ideas running through my head and so little time to do things in, and I am a SAHM. Well enough chatting I should at least try and get some more cards done. Remember you are not alone in your ADD you have a support group here any time you need it.
um... *shyly raises hand* ...me too... I have so many hobbies it is absurd. Not even just crafts. The list is really long. Glad to hear I am not the only one.
Uhhh, check out my blog title, LOL! I'm just about to finish a remodel, I have a skirt and hat ready to knit, Christmas cards to finish, I
could keep myself busy for several lifetimes!
OMGosh! That's me! lol!!

Whew! Darned good thing - I think I really NEED the support (who needs a shrink when I have all of you lovely people! lol!)
I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one. I work full time and have two dogs. I'm tearing the wallpaper off the walls in my hallway and foyer and it's giving me a problem. I was hoping to be done with this and have it painted by the Holidays! Yeah right!! I'm stamping ceramic tile coasters for Christmas presents and working on finishing my Christmas cards. I also have a spare bedroom that I have to clean out. After a death in the family this room became the dumping ground for all the personal effects that the family wanted to go through - long story! Anyway, the things that are left in there have to go in boxes and I need to get that done because we have family coming for Christmas. Sometimes, I don't know how I'm going to get it all done.
My husband says I never met a craft I didn't like
The other day I mentioned reading a place that just opened and gives knitting class and he just said, very quietly, please don't, we're running out of room...LOL
Well, glad to know I'm not alone, girls. I, too, have lots of "to-be-finished" and "to-be-started" projects. Oh, and don't let's forget the "to-be-bought" ones in our dreams.
There was a post a while back about the stamps Michael's still has in their dollar bin that say "Class of 2005." We were all joking about who would possibly buy them.
One of us, perhaps?

This is so funny! I hear you. I'm the SAME way. I'm working on cards, have some sewing projects half started. Some jewelry laid out to make. Lots to do, so little time!
Time?? Does anyone know what this is? I'm pretty sure I haven't seen any in a loooong while. If only the stores sold it.....course then it would probably be just another craft I'd have to learn.....

ROFL - love it! Sounds just like my dh, God bless him. I will stop dead in my tracks if I see something that catches my eye and he's thinking "Uh-oh, here we go again" :-D
Add me to your list of start this, gotta finish that, and these 30 ideas are still rumbling around in my head/craftroom!
This is so me. I have a blanket I started in Jan 06 that is still not done. I swear I will get out my holiday cards this year and I bought and fell in love with the stamp in Nov 06. I am making gift bags for my mom's craft fair and only need 50 of them in the next 10 days  What can I say I like to find ways to keep myself busy lol
I can't even discuss my yarn stash....not to mention all the patterns I've printed.
I've got a cross-stitch project I started of a white german shepard when I first got mine in 1995....she's actually gone now, so who knows if I'll ever finish it....

ROFL!! Too funny -- did he learn that line from my husband?
I'm just like the rest of you -- hopelessly obsessive/compulsive when it comes to art/crafts. I am trying valiantly to stay away from quilting -- those supplies take up a lot of space LOL! I would love to try pottery also .. and beading. I made sterling silver jewelry for a while but my husband wouldn't let me have my own studio, something about being afraid of me and a torch in the basement - weenie!
My husband is all the time telling me if I start one more craft/hobby I'm moving out because there isn't enough room for it and me. LOL
I do have quite a few hobbies.. scrapcarding, crocheting, sewing, embroidery, wood turning... are just a few (and the most stable ones I do.)
There are way to many fun and interesting things out there for us to limit ourselves, don't you think? ;)

Seriously, I have way too many irons in the fire and have to hold myself back from tackling new projects or taking on new hobbies. With 4 kids and working outside the home, I barely have any free time anyway. I find myself yearning for an empty nest so I can pick up some new hobbies!

Hmmmm, if I was to add up all of the unfinished projects, I would want to retire now so I could get them done in the next 30 years!
When we moved a few months ago, I finally sent some unfinished cross stitch and other 'projects' on their way to the Salvation Army store. Hopefully someone didn't mind finishing something that was already started.
Oh I'm so happy to hear this! It seems like so many people around here spend so much time on just their cards and i was feeling like I was totally not up to par. My mother would agree with the comment that I never met a craft I didn't like. I have enough fabric to cothe an army of people and enough patterns to give them each a different outfit. And then there's the theatre work that I do and everything else. I keep thinking there just aren't enough hours in a day...and then I think if I had the extra hours I'd just pick up a few of those other hobbies I've been holding off on until I finish off the projects I've got.

Reason: spelling
Between all the carting family to dance, cheerleeding, birthday parties, making dance costumes, ect there just isn't enough time to clean house let alone getting any crafting done.
I need a life.....in a nice warm mental hospital...minus the straight jacket of course ( hard to craft with one of those on.... hey do they let you bring sissors in these places? Maybe I should rethink that idea.................
Oh I can definitely relate! In the house, there's the stamping, the remodeling, the crocheting, and all of the kids' hobbies and crafts. I'm also a Girl Scout leader, which brings with it a whole crop of one-time-only crafts. And don't even get me started on the garage, which I've renamed the "hobby graveyard" after spending the last month cleaning up and organizing! It started out looking like a Hobby Lobby truck and a Michaels truck had a crash in my driveway.
Sign me up for this one too!!
Although I am pretty good about finishing one project at a time, I do have a lot of things always lined up to do. I scrapbook, make cards, cook/bake a lot of gifts, sew stuff for my home, and just started embroidering for some gifts. I sorta drive myself, my dh and my mom crazy with everything I'm always doing. I was just in the process of sewing a slipcover for my wingback chair, but trying to get it done before Thanksgiving was becoming too much pressure so I canned that project for now. Between all the cards and gifts I've had to do lately, haven't had much time for scrapbooking, which is a bummer b/c that is what i luv the most. Although sewing home projects is a close 2nd!
