Default accordion book and matboard journals

Hi- Just love all the samples on this site--they are inspiring!

I have a question about accordion books and matboard journals--what are they, and what are they for? also--are there directions to make them on the website? thanks!

Default ribbon closure for accordian

I must be having a brain "fart" (more often than not) I am in the process of making my first accordian card, but for some reason I can't figure out how to do the ribbon closure. Any suggestions...is is glued on or just tied around of something completly different.
Thanks, Jennifer

Jennifer - I put the ribbon around the outside of the accordian book, but I put it under my stamped image on the front to hold it on. Hope this helps.

Another way to do it is to put the ribbon between the matboard & the accordian folded cardstock.

whooo hoooo I sent out my first Accordian Book/card to an old friend of my Mother in law's. It is her bday Tuesday and with the mail being messed up this weekend had to get it out. Cost me 60 cents to mail out but well worth it. The post office loves all my cards that I am sending out in the clear envelopes. Had to open this one for them so they could see what the card "did". lol.. they are so funny!!
