Question ? about Staz on and painted clay pots

I hope you all or someone can help me with my question. I am making a bird bath out of clay pots. I am painting it with outdoor paint and such. I was thinking about using Staz on to stamp on it. My question has anyone used it on painted clay pots? Does it work? Do you have to seal it with something when you get done stamping? Does this make sense? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Thanks!!

I don't have a direct reply to your question, but this will help keep it current. I do think staz on will work, since it works on the tumbled tiles with no extra sealing. I use my tiles all the time, and they get very wet. No running or fading. Hope you get a better answer, because I am curious too.

I just did this with my grandson for his mommy for Mother's Day and it worked perfectly (no sealing with anything). The only thing you need to remember is that once you apply the inked stamp to the surface it's permanent so if you smudge you can't wipe it.

My only word of caution, Staz On is permanant, but not fade resistant. I made tiles using Staz On, hung with a leather strip, and the Staz On faded in a couple of days in direct sunlight, to the point you could barely recognize the images any longer. Even in a protected outdoor area (covered porch) with alot of indirect sunlight it faded a significant amount. There might be a sealer that could help, but I would first to a test. The other thing you can do is to use those acrylic paints, like Delta, and paint your stamps, then stamp them on the pot.
