Default A2 Easter Egg Card Template

I want my Easter cards to be in the shape of an Easter egg that opens right to left. I have been searching the internet but can't find anything that is A2 size and I am not an artist that can alter what I have found. They come out lopsided. I would appreciate any help you wonderful ladies have to offer. Thank you, Suzie

I have the Spellbinder's nested eggs but the largest one is only 4 1/4" long and 3" wide. I could cut you one and you could add to the size. You would at least have a base that is in portion.

I saw a blog earlier today where the lady had a template for a bunny's head that was egg shaped. Don't know how big it was but can I find it now - NOOOOO.

Just email me if you want me to cut you the largest Spellbinder egg.

Who knew it would be so difficult to find an Easter Egg template? I'm pretty good with Google, but this is the closest I could find.

I printed the easter egg template page out and measured the egg in the lower right corner. It is about 4" x 5" and that's the closest I could find to the A2 size.

I'm making you one but it is going to take me a few minutes I'll post it as a PDF just as soon as I am done with it - one of it "closed" so if you wanted to cut it out of an already cut-and-scored card you can, and one of the it "open" if you prefer.

Ok here we go....I haven't printed one out and cut it so I hope this works. I'll give it a test run tomorrow and hope it doesn't need any tweaking! It's A2 size - 4.25" wide and 5.5" high. Score on the left side. There are 2 versions, one has a longer seam and one has a shorter seam - it's all up to taste and preference. I'll attach the first version in this message, the other version in the next message. Feel free to use it for anything, including cards to sell, but please don't sell the template Thanks!

Have fun and Happy Crafting!

PS- I know the lines are a bit pixelated and I could clean it up royally but since you aren't cutting it with a machine and are cutting it by hand, this should work ok.

It looks as if Nikki has come up trumps and got you supplied. Don't you just love the helpfulness on SCS.
I just thought, though, that I'd say what I do to solve the lopsided issue, which I suffer from too . When I do need to freehand a template or adapt one, I draw or copy it onto scratch paper. Then I fold it in half down the central axis, and cut it out along whichever side looks better. Then when you open it out again you have a symmetric shape instead of a lopsided one.

I Googled "Easter Egg Template" and came up with lots of possibilities of a single egg. You could print one of those out, put it on your CS with the edge of the card just off the edge of the CS which would make your "hinge". HTH.

Wow, Nikki, you are amazing! How in the world did you create those great shapes so fast?

Thanks for sharing with all of us. I bookmarked this thread so I can find the Easter Eggs when I need them.

I found an egg outline, sized it, copy/paste twice, flip one horizontal, bump together, draw straight line.

You're welcome ladies - have fun!

I was able to save the pdf file, and I also wanted to tell you all that I made a card today using this template! I don't know how to upload it, but I used a mint green base, and it turned out very well...if I may say so!! I'm going to send it to my husbands two elderly aunts that are sharing a room together in a nursing home! I think they will enjoy it!
