Default 2x 2 Tiles

Good Morning and Happy Sunday:
I have a quick question about the 2 x 2 tile. The tile is connected with cement or grout and how do I get this off. Or should I have bought some lose 2 x 2 tiles. Please let me know.
Thanks
Tai

My husband removed that from mine with a box cutter and ex-acto knife. He was really concern about how it will melt and stink up the house if I put it in the oven like that, but he got it all off
