Default word window punch

Sale-A-Bration is almost here. Making my list. Thinking about the SU word window punch. If anyone has it, does it get a lot of use besides using it for words. Would love to hear from you. Thanks!

I have used mine for words, for layers, making it stick out from behind items (hope that makes sense) and also there are a bunch of punch art that uses it (I have a board with punch art on my pinterst). I think it is a good punch.

I agree! The Word Window punch gets lots of use by me. You can make the length of the window longer by cutting a 1/4" strip and inserting the ends into the punch from the bottom so it can be almost any length you need. (Hope this makes sense.) You could print a verse or phrase on you computer in an appropriate font size incorporate it into you card.

The Word Window punch is one that I use a lot.

In addition to the above mentioned uses I use it to punch the slot in a gift card holder. I fold a "W" shape in the card stock and punch the top of the mountain part twice with the Word Window punch . Punch about 1/4" from one side and then move the punch to punch it longer toward the other side.
A gift card slides in perfectly .

If that punch was ever discontinued I would buy a second one in case mine stopped punching.

The other punches I use a lot are the 1/2" & 3/4" circles for the back of hand made flowers and rosettes

Definitely get it! Even if it's only for sentiments it's worth it.

Mine has never punched so that the edges are smooth. It leaves a bit of a frayed area, if that makes sense. That has always disappointed me.

Karen - have you punched through foil a few times? That might help sharpen the blades and give you a cleaner cut.

And I use that punch all the time!!!!

Default thanks everyone

You have me ready to buy. KarenBimPa you should see if it can be returned. Sounds like the punch is damaged. Good Luck.

I use it also to make tabs by cutting it and securing it with a brad. It can be used in a lot of punch art critters as well.

I made this based on a tutorial from Charlene (LilLuvsStampin) which is linked in my write-up.

What is sale-a-bration? I've been thinking of the word window punch, but it's all I want and the S&H for one item isn't always worth it. Is there a "twin" punch for SU one, made by another manufacturer? Thanks,
Mob

Sale-a-Bration is a promotion that Stampin' Up does yearly. For every 50 dollars you spend, you chose a free item from the Sale-a-Bration catalog. There is a stamp that works with word window, called the modern label punch.

Here is another batch of ideas for that punch: Word Window Punch by memory_lane - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

Thanks again for all the ideas you gave me for the word window punch. I checked out all of your sites and was very impressed. Love how this punch can be used in so many ways. Card club tomorrow night. First item on my list.
