Well, I have been working on Valentine Crayons, as suggested by kris2056. I think they turned out great. Hardest part is taking the papers off all the crayons - dd was nice enough to help out.
Here they are:

Way to go they look great!! You got a much better deal on the mold than I got. I agree that the papers were the worst part. I ended up taking a knife to split it so it would come right off. My son and I did it assembly line, I ran the knife down the crayon and then he pulled it off.

I've been valentine crafting for days.... you are welcome to check my gallery or blog!
I just took a peek at your gallery - you have some really great stuff in there. Not just the valentines either. I'm am officially jealous of your talent.
Don't know about this year yet, but last year, I made these little candy airplanes (got the idea from Nichole Heady's blog) for the kids in DS's class. Instead of rockets, I used PEZ candies for the body and wrapped those up with labels stamped using Limitless Labels by PTI . I stamped right on the gum wrapper/wings with the small heart stamp from the same set. I packaged them up in little ziplocks and added a topper. The hardest part was convincing DS to write his name on all of them!
I remeber my mom making these for my brother's birthday sometime in the late 60s--but with rolls of Lifesavers as the body of the plane.
These are so cute, Sassybee. I was at Michael's yesterday and saw little shovels in the Valentine's Day section for 59 each. The shovel even says "I Dig You".

REALLY? Thanks for sharing the tip!
Sassybee, these are so amazingly cute!!
Wow, so many great ideas. The hard part is going to be deciding what to do! I'd better get crackin'!
I am making these little hanging boxes - you can leave them on the door for a surprise, or hang them on the wall with a photo inside. I made a tutorial here:
I've been working on them today actually. I'm making little treat holders that hold 4 pieces of chocolate and stamping labels to wrap around the chocolate.. Also stamped tags and just nned to cut ribbon and tie them on. I made 18 total 3 differents styles of 6 each.

I altered a bunch of wonderful Christmas gift card tins for Valentine candy boxes. I'm going to fill them with pink, white and red M&M's for my many grandchildren.
After Christmas I found the tins on sale at Dollar General for only 30 cents each! They were already red and white polka dots, so all I had to do was cut a piece of Valentine paper (from the Target Dollar Spot) to cover up the "Happy Holidays" printed in the middle.
Then I made a belly band with the "Puppy Love" stamp from Michaels dollar bin.
You may admire them below.

I love what you did with your tins...Great Idea!!
The kids will Love them
This is the first time in 10 years that I will not be making Valentine's Day treats for my children's classmates, as my last one is now in middle school and "you don't do that kind of stuff in middle school, Mom!" *Sigh*
I did, however, make Top Note gift sacks for my Bunco group, to be filled with chocolates. When they are finished I'll post a picture.
I love everybody else's use of red and pink, but I can't seem to make it work myself!! I have decided to go with other color palettes this year for Valentine's Day :o)

I've made a ton of Valentine cards and other Valentine Projects: Stamped Stationary, a Love coupon book, origami box, altered treat holders, etc. They are all posted on my blog: http://amyscreativepursuits.blogspot.com/ you will have to scroll around to find them, as I've been posting Valentine stuff for the past couple of weeks.
Found "Christmas" tins at Michael's today 3 for $1. They weren't Christmas-y and could easily be used for tin as made by Buggainok. Michael's also had some not-too-Christmas-y post-it notes 3 for $1 (and there were 2 to a package, so that's really 6 for $1). I used these and made matchbook style covers for Valentine's gifts for my friends that are watching their weight or are diabetic.
I need to go back to Michaels to look for the shovels. I didn't see them.
Does anyone know where else I can get plain shovels? I saw some at Target but they were a sturdier plastic at 2.50 a piece. Way more then what I wanted to spend for ds class Valentine's.

I cleaned out my Michaels of these! Kinda pricey for a small plastic shovel, but they will be fun to give.

If you go to my gallery and view my shovels, I have the ebay seller listed. She's very quick and the shipping is very reasonable.
