Question Water Crayon VS Water Pencils

I saw the video for stamping on canvas and wondered if the same thing could be done with water color pencils instead of watercolor crayons. Anyone tried this method?

Fran:confused:

Fran, you can certainly give it a try, but you won't get nearly as vibrant a look. The crayons are MUCH more concentrated color than the pencils are. You'll find the pencils to produce a pretty pale image. But, that may be the look you want, kwim?

You probably need to wet the pencil tip before coloring with them...it'll transfer the color easier.

I prefer to use water color pencils first then use the aqua brush to distribute the color. I feel the pencils give a more vibrant color and I also can control how dark I want the color better than with crayons.

Just different looks that is a personal choice, which ever you prefer.

I remember quite some time ago, someone had a file for SU watercolor pencils labels. Anyone know how I might find it?
