OK - I finally got all the stamp pads and all the colors of paper -- but I forgot to order some US White :( Anyway - I was making easter cards for some family coming over today and had to use some regular white card stock..... man what a difference. I know that some of you have mentioned that you show a sample of a stamped image on regular card stock vs SU!, but I think if you actually let them try stamping an image themselves both on regular card stock and sU - they will see the difference and you will educate them on the differenc and sell more US white... I think it will have more of an impact if you let them stamp on both instead of you just demoing it yourself or showing examples - there will be lots of people who will just think you did not apply this same pressure or something like that to make the results what you wanted. Anyway - just a suggestion....
Well, I remember stamping on some regular white cardstock, and when I went back to finish the card later in the evening, the edges of the image had feathered. It was the baby bib from The Fine Print. The text was a little blurry, too.
BTW, not a demo. I figured out the superiority of US white all on my own!

Keep in mind that not all non- SU white cardstock is created equal. Some is good and some is bad. If you want to be sure you are making a big statement with your demo make sure you have one of the bad ones to show the biggest difference. Do a test demo at home.
my customers figure this out pretty quickly as well. Think about it-at a craft store the paper is made for "crafting" while at Stampin Up the paper is made for STAMPING.

So funny you say that -- I have always used large sheets of kids drawing paper as scratch paper for my workshops & felt guilty not using the SU grid paper. I'm going to have to re-think that guilt! At my last workshop we were using Cool Cat -- I was explaining about checking to see if the stamp was "well-inked" by stamping "off" on scratch paper. Next they stamped directly on the SU US White we were using for the make-n-take. It was such a great moment when the guest yells, "Oh, my Gosh! Look at the difference!!!!" I had never thought until then to put this in my demo. It is AMAZING how much difference there was side-by-side using the same stamp -- a very solid image at that. You've reminded me to be more conscious next time! Thanks!
My niece did notice the difference in my cards compared to hers... I buy her the cheap cardstock from Ben Franklin or Walmart because she is 17 and can't afford much right now. It is a MUCH CLEARER image!!
I discovered this while waiting for my first oder from SU! Before I was a demo, my SIL gave me a few pieces of SU cardstock and after I used it I started working with old cardstock I had leftover from scrapbooking. What a difference. I found an old pack of white the other day and I think I will demo it also. Thanks for the great idea!

I also noticed that when you try to color with the markers that they don't color evenly on other cs....there is always a "glop" of color & it doesn't blend well.
I now buy a pack of us white with almost every order (& I order a lot, that is why I am considering becoming a demo!) so I don't run out.

I think you've sold me on it. I have never used SU cardstock, mainly because of the shipping costs (from US to UK) card and paper is heavy, but I might have to give it a go next order to see if it REALLY is that good
