So when's that catty gonna be up online? I'm so curious this year. Would love a link if there's one out there.;)
As for the colors... That Pistachio reminds me of Sage Shadow. I was sad to see Sage Shadow retire. I think I'm going to love Pistachio
My demo just gave me five sheets of Sage Shadow TEXTURED 12x12 paper! It was one of my favorites, too! I also liked the textured paper, but all the new catty has is Coredinations paper. I don't do much sanding, so I'm not real fond of that paper.
You can get yours from your demo whenever she or he gets them and is ready to hand them out. I think mine will be here today!
Oooooh I hope my demo gets hers before Friday. We have a card class that day. Would be fun to have the new catty's but I'm not sure if she ordered yet or not. She was going to, but things got busy and I forgot to ask if she had ordered...

You don't have to sand it. You can just use it like textured paper because really it is! :-)

How does it get on the folds? It looks to me like it might "crack" if folded. I had some generic cardstock that did that. I could use it great for layering, but if I tried to use it as a base, it "cracked" on the fold.

I hope I love Pistachio! I think a minty color will be fun....but I guess it has to be a certain shade of mint.
I will also love Costal Cabana. I painted a bedroom that color and a bathroom a shade lighter. I loved the lighter bathroom color but that bedroom...I thought for so long, what have I done!
Then it seemed to fade a bit, or so it seemed and I started to see that color everywhere! I thought- how did I pull that one off?
I also painted the living a green I thought was going to be like certainly celery and it was much more vibrant. I see that color for rooms a lot now too.

What an amazing video!!!!! I am very exciting to play with the clay!!!!!!! My order should be here this week, sometimes being on the East coast bites!!!
If you haven't watched the video....go!!! I was excited but I am even more so now!!!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
I am a bit disappointed by the new catty cover. Usually it shows some great carding/crafting ideas. This year all I see is legs in white tights. Is SU trying to appeal to a younger audience? Not that any of us are old, of course.
I'm swooning at the sneak peaks. With the extra $30 in the starter kit, I just may FINALLY cave!
(I have to admit, I thoroughly enjoy all the drama every year related to seeing the catty before we are "supposed" to. I say, "Relax, dear Demos, it only makes me spend more $$")

I was not liking the Pistachio Pudding. It was my least favorite of the new In colors. That was until I got the cardstock in hand. It has become a favorite as I play with the different colors.

I am assuming the answer is that it does crack on the folds too??

Okay, I have now seen the catalogue. I find it very distracting and can't even figure out how certain products would be used, what goes with what, very confusing lay out. I don't know if I will be ordering much. I suppose that once I see the samples I will be excited though.
Does anyone know if everything on page 36 of the spring catalogue (which has items from the Christmas catty) will be carried in the new main catty that is coming out?

I have seen the new catalog and saw no Christmas or Halloween stamps in it. If the holiday mini is going to have them all what about wanting to order the holiday stamps in the summer to try to get a head start on holiday items?

I was just thinking about this today after looking at the catalogue, It will take some time to get use to the new layout. To me it is kind of confusing, or should I say different from the other catalogues we have had. I am anxious what my customers will think of it, I will be giving them their new catalogues at my May workshop & I can already see all the question I will be asked.

That's interesting, I didn't find it confusing at all. The layout is much better than the current catalog. It is organized in a much better fashion and there are table of contents in two different sections.
That's good news, especially since all of the Christmas stamps from the current catalog are retiring except for a greeting set.
Carryover Stamp sets:
Evergreen Stamp Set
Greetings of the Season Stamp Set
Jewish Celebrations Stamp Set
More Merry Messages Stamp Set
Ornament Keepsakes Stamp Set
Snowflake Soiree Stamp Set
These sets will still be available during the 2013-2014 catalog year. They will not be featured in the catalog, but will be available in the Online Store and OEX.
I don't know.....when I look at a page, I find it annoying that the samples on that page DO NOT correspond to the stamp sets on them. Some sets don't even have a sample shown! Ah, well, THANK HEAVENS FOR SPLITCOAST and all the great ideas here.
As for the clay molds, MEH. Silicone molds are all over etsy and the internet, it's another fad. I really wish SU would concentrate on GREAT STAMPS, PAPER, and INK. I really don't have too much confidence in those new foam ink pads.
