This is really a demo announcement, but I know there are many demos who don't frequent the demo forums here. In light of the huge difficulties affecting areas hit by Hurricane Ike, Stampin Up has made the following announcement to those demos in those areas:
Reaching Out to Demonstrators in Hurricane-Impacted Areas
September 19, 2008
More than 800 demonstrators live in areas identified as disaster areas by the government agency FEMA, due to the recent devastation caused by hurricanes. We know many demonstrators are anxious to provide help and relief where they can. We encourage you to use Stampin' Discuss to connect with other demonstrators to see what you can do to help (go to the "Helping Demonstrators Affected by Hurricanes" thread). For those demonstrators affected by these disasters, Stampin' Up! will automatically provide the following:
- Waive sales not currently met this quarter;
- Grant automatic exceptions to remain in active status in October, with only the regular quarterly minimum due for the October - December quarter;
- Pre-approve hardship status exceptions for those who drop in February 2009.
If you have questions or concerns about your demonstratorship, please call Demonstrator Support and we'll be happy to work with you to resolve your concerns.
Demonstrators in the affected areas may not get this communication, so if you have any downline members or know fellow demonstrators suffering from this hardship, please pass this message along.
We are always overwhelmed at the generosity and selflessness displayed by Stampin' Up! demonstrators in caring for each other, and know there are many ways for us to help those in need at this time.

Please, pass this info on to your demo if you can.
