Default Stamping Stores in Washington and Oregon

Hi Stampers,

Time for our annual trip to Clackamus Oregon from Vancouver BC for hubby's work. I get to pick a couple of stores to look through. I want a larger type of store (not M's or HL or J's) with a good selection of stamp companys and paper. If you can give me some info I would appreciate it. I am going to stop on the way just over the US border at Stampadoodle and the Paper Zone. If you think that is enough I will be content to just hit up a Kohles and the Hallmark store for the rest of the searches. I don't really care for shopping and if I can get one great store to search out I would be happy..

Thanks Lorri

Not sure when you will be travelling, but Denami Designs in Kent, WA is having a warehouse sale on 9/16. Here's a link to their blog post about it.

There's another thread on page 1 (right now) where several good Oregon stores were listed.

This is from Angelinoregon: here are some great places to visit. some might be further away than others, depending on where you are staying.

The Peddler's Pack (my personal favorite)
4570 SW Watson Ave.
Beaverton, OR 97005
503-641-9555 [email protected]

Cut & Paste Paper Arts
Attn: Online Store
1924 N Kilpatrick
Portland, OR 97217
By phone: 503.283.8542

Stamp A Dee Doo Dah
14621 SE McLoughlin Blvd
Milwaukie, OR
(503) 652-7010

(she also reminded everyone that there is no sales tax in OR!)

Stamp1 offered these suggestions:

A couple others to add to the list:

Collage (2 locations)
1639 NE Alberta
Portland
503-249-2190

and

4429 SE Woodstock
Portland
503-777-2189

Scattered Pictures
13852 NE Sandy Blvd.
Portland
503-252-1888

Paper Zone
1136 NE Grand
Portland
503-233-2933

The Peddler's Pack
4570 SW Watson
Beaverton
503-641-9555

A Joy Forever (2 locations)
586 NE Burnside
Gresham
503-513-0860

and

839 SE Powell Blvd.
Portland
503-661-1400

This was my contribution:

There's a really fun (small) stamping store in downtown Tigard (SW of Portland, I think). It's called Main Street Stamp & Stationery, 12245 SW Main, Tigard, OR. Main Street Main Street Stamp and Stationery
They have some nice classes there and I really like their style. I always drop in when we're in the Portland/Lake Oswego area visiting kids and granddaughters!

The address for the PaperZone in Beaverton is: 10029 SW Nimbus, Beaverton, OR 503-641-8112. It's by Washington Square Mall. Another fun store! Their prices on cardstock and envies can't be beat here where I live, and I just discovered recently that they also carry the clear envelopes to display cards. Nice not to have to order them and pay S/H.

Thanks, Angelinoregon and Stamp1 for your lists....wish I'd seen them LAST month before we made our annual trek up to Tigard! I'll print them out for next year...

Even though you aren't all that interested in Mike's, Joanne's or HL, I just found out recently that the Joanne's on 99 W in Tigard is what they call a Superstore...Awesome big and lots of items I haven't seen at any other Joanne's.

Have a wonderful time!

Blessings,
Kat

Wow, thanks so much. I had thought about Beaverton. I was going to stop just across the border in Washington but maybe I will go straight to Beaverton and hit up the shop and paper zone since there is no sale tax, will save me a few dollars. Thanks again.

Stamp-A-Dee-Do-Dah (the BEST stamp store around!) is on McLoughlin and about a 15-20 minute drive from Clackmas. (Just as an aside...it's pronounced Clack-a-mus, but it's spelled Clackamas. My husband is a mailman there. LOL...)

Have a safe trip!

I went to a store in Tacoma last weekend call Artco. Neat store!
It was pretty similar to Craft Warehouse, but it had some different stuff.
