Default ? on stamping on premade boxes

The boxes I want to stamp on have a glossy white finish on them, something like bakery boxes. I'm sure someone here has tried stamping on these before and wanted to know what worked best for you. Classic ink didn't leave a good impression whatsoever and I don't have any craft ink to work with. I was wondering if Stazon would be the ticket. Any suggestions to make this work would be appreciated! I'd like to work with a red ink with these white boxes.

Thanks!

Default My suggestion...

If you have to buy ink pads for this anyway, my suggestion would be Palette Hybrid pads. They're awesome--great for this kind of stamping, as well as paper, fabric, wood, and on and on and on....

Great reds to choose from too! :-)

Default Forgot...

Forgot to say that the Stazon Red is really more of a hot pink when you stamp on white glossy surfaces. I learned the hard way when I was trying to do something Red Hat. :-(

Default thank you

Thanks Diane for that tip. I definitely don't want hot pink for these boxes! I'll look for the one you mentioned. Are they typically sold in a speciality stamp/scrap stores or have you found them at local craft stores like Hobby Lobby, ACMoore or Michaels?

Thanks for your help!

Brilliance pads also work for this, I usually help drying time with the heat gun but the ink stays vibrant. I'll need to keep my eye out for the hybrid ink--haven't seen it yet.

To be totally honest, I've never seen them in any store--not even stamping store. I'm a TAC demo and we sell them, but there are also other places online you can buy them if you do a search. I can't give you any recommendations of a specific place, though, since I've never gone through anyone but myself. Depending on what kind of red you want, you'd probably want to go with either Moulin Rouge or L'Amore Red.

Here is the manufacturer's site to read a description....
