Happy Valentines Day!!! I thought it would be fun to start a thread showing the Valentines Card you made for a special someone or someones! Heres what I gave my hubby....
I also got a big box of Hershey bars at Sam's and made these candy wraps. I'll take them to all the gals and guys at my public library today. And to the convenience store clerks where I buy my gas. And to a couple of sweet "greeter" ladies at my local Walmart.
I am 100% obsessed with valentines day!!! I made a TON of Valentine's crafts and posted them on my blog in a weeklong ode to valentine's day (i told you I was obsessed:-)
can you believe I did so many for orders and treat bags and boxes, I did not do any card for hubby lol
Yes, I believe it because I didn't make my hubby one either! He is my main cheerleader and looks at every single card I make and ooh's and ahh's properly at each one. But he didn't get to look at his this year, cause I didn't make a special one for him.
I did give him a big kiss and a big box of chocolates which redeemed me.

I had to laugh because while I was so busy sneaking around with his, he took one from my to sell stash and gave it to me for Valentines day! Cheeky!:-P
Here are three cards I shared today. The first one was "just because" but the second two I made for my husband and my son, respectively.. I made about 30 Valentine's/love-themed cards this year.. Most of them are at the flower shop right now waiting to be sold/already sold (i hope)!
I recently tried out card making (after meaning to for quite a while) and came up with this for my special guy, which goes by the name of Mike. Tried to make his name out in brads, but not sure if it worked out as I wanted it to.
Since the card turned out so delicate, I had to make the box for it, and then a special backing panel so it could be removed from the box without too much handling.

I started to look, then decided I should post mine so I don't chicken out, there are so many beautiful, elaborate cards. Mines pretty simple, but he appreciated it, which is what counts to me.
Aw, Nuts! I can't post mine! No, it's not inappropriate or anything like that. ;)
It's just that it is one of my samples for VSN and I don't want to spill the beans early! But I'll be back and post it here next weekend if this thread is still going strong then!
BTW...please join us for VSN on Friday and Saturday the 25th and 26th for more fun than you can ever imagine! There's a great lineup of challenges!
Great thread - been fun to check out everyone's creations.
I have fallen for Kraft cardstock - really love it - so this is the card I made for my DH and is the first time I have used Kraft cs on a card. I love how Kraft cs can make a card seem "more masculine" IMHO.
Here are a few cards, more on my blog. I will also be posting a V-Day mini i made I know V-Day has passed already, but I will still be putting in pics from that day. Visit my blog for more pics and on Tuesday for the video of the mini.
