Default ScrapMaBob?

I really like these and I'm thinking about getting them for my stamper's club ladies.

Does anyone have this? Do you love it? I know CM has something similar but I couldn't find it online when I went to search.

Thanks!

~Wendy

they are great if you have open drinks on the table. I always serve water bottles and remind everyone to keep the lid on.
I just use a lunch bag or 2 on the table top for trash/scraps. depends what you want to spend money on.

That's what I usually do, too but we are finishing up our second year and I would like to show these ladies how much I appreciate them helping my business grow. I though a nifty gadget like this would be fun.

Based on the complete lack of response here, I'm wondering if I shouldn't look at something else!

I've never been interested in those. It seems to ME (and I'm a bit of a klutz) that I'd knock that thing off or a large coke wouldn't be too sturdy in it. And I would also feel kinda closed in - like claustrophobic, couldn't move around freely - with it on the table beside me.

I would ask what kind of seating do you have for your club? If it's metal chairs - maybe a really nice seat cushion --- perhaps you could even get some custom printed so they'll always have your info. Just a thought....

I guess I'm in the minority! I have one and love it! I asked for one for Christmas and got it and use it everytime I craft! The scrap bag with it was a bonus I hadn't intended on liking--I wanted the drink holder. I always craft with a big beverage and this holds all the big ones I've tried very comfortably and sturdy. I don't have to worry about anything sweating on my table or anything getting wet. I absolutely love it and am glad I have one. I guess it's not for everyone--but it surely is for me!

I say go for it! I never take drinks when I'm stamping cuz I worry about spills and rings. This would solve those problems for sure.

I've had one next to me at most crops I've attended and it is handy for drinks (even large ones) and to toss scraps without getting up to use a trashcan.

CM used to have them. :( They no longer offer them. Lame!! But there you go.

I use mine all the time!! Love it, cause I AM THE GIRL WHO WILL SPILL!!! And the trash bag is right there. It is really sturdy, but you can't try and cheat the tightening down element.

OH, just another thought. Addicted to Scrapbooking used to carry similar ones to ScrapMaBob, only they looked a bit bigger. You might try them, too.

I have something that is very similar and I really like it. Having the garbage right there is nice and I actually don't use it for drinks I use it for my assorted bottles of things that I use for spritzing such as stamp cleaner, alcohol, and water.

wouldn't it benefit you to get them something awesome from SU, you would be buying from yourself then.

I have a similar one. I used to scrap at the dining room table, and it was perfect for that. I loved having it! It kept the drink away from the table and I didn't just keep all the scraps and trash on the table until I was done, I could clean up as I went. I just used a grocery bag in the holder thing and it worked perfect.

i don't have one, and would never buy one for myself. money vs. need thing. but, that doesn't mean i wouldn't use one if someone gave it to me.

something else that might be a cool idea? what about an insulated cup you can stamp and design an insert for? you could use some SU! product for the insert, and it would become promotional and useable!

Oh, I'm doing that, too! I'm thinking about filling the little trash can with lots of fun new stuff-color samplers, ribbon, other stuff that I'll get on my pre-order.

Thanks for the inputs everyone! I'm going to check out the other resource that was mentioned (if I can get them for less, I'm ALL over it!). I'm off to check that out now! I'm still not completely certain that this is the right choice but it's nice to get input (from both sides) from people!

Thanks!

I just looked at they are out of stock. :( Almost $7 off the Original Scrap Box price, no wonder!

They do have that nifty notification feature, so I added my email.

Thanks!

I'm on the hunt for one of these drink holders and Scrapbook.com is still out of stock? I noticed the last post here is May 2010. Does anyone know where I can find these now?

LOL!! You crack me up.

I used to use my Mom's when we'd scrap together and I really liked it. I kinda wish I could steal it back and use it at my house.

I'm with you especially the claustrophobic part . So far my groups have been lucky and we meet in the morning so the coffee mugs would not fit. Plus, I'd probably forget to bring it to each meeting. But I bet your club would love you for such a nice treat.

What about the travel mugs you decorate? My DIL gave me one with pics of the grandkids and I love it. You could decorate it with your club logo, pics of the members, etc.

Thanks!! I'm going to check that out right now.

I might not even have an open drink but the more spaces I have to put stuff the better for me. I'm used to having my entire room with everything at my finger tips. :-)

I have the CM one. My only complaint is that the bag doesn't hold much. I can fill it fairly easy, but I also quit saving my small scraps years ago. I also reuse the bag it came with and it's held up really well.

I'm a total clutz and it has saved my projects numerous times! I've been impressed at how well it's held drinks in it (despite me hitting it accidentally) including tall and/or bulky drinks. I also tend to drink tea from my favorite tea cup (it's an oversized one that's like the basic coffee mug only bigger - holds about 14 oz) and it fits perfectly. If it was much bigger though, it wouldn't fit.

I think you are right. CM discontinued them. It's too bad because it seems sturdier than the Scrapmabob.
