Default Please tell me what else I can do with Sharpies!

I can't believe that I actually made an ornament by stamping on acetate with Staz-on, and I colored the back of the image w/ Sharpies.

What *else* can you do with them? And if you do these tiles, can you start at the beginning and tell me what they are, where you get them, what you use them for, and any instructions.

I don't have sharpies. But I can help with the tiles. They are called botticino, and can be bought at either Home Depot or Lowes. They're in the tile section, and come in a white box with 9, I think. They are dusty and need to be cleaned a bit before using. I use them for coasters. You buy a roll of cork and glue that on the bottom. I also bought a larger unglazed floor tile, which I thought I would try making a trivet out of. Haven't done it yet.

You can also use them on shrink plastic. Just remember that the colors get darker after it's shrunk!

I haven't tried this, but read somewhere that you can use sharpies to color staples!

Yep, they work to color staples. I've done it.

You can also use them on vellum. Or just to color in your stamped image. The only difference between Sharpies and regular markers is that Sharpies are permanent solvent based (think SazOn) and regular markers are not.

I just learned this week that you can use Sharpies to color on your brads! I tried it and they look soooo cool! I'll be posting one of the cards I used them on in the next couple of days.

Sharpies are great on Dominoes. The only problem is sealing them...I made 10 cute Bratz girl pins to sell at a Christmas craft show and then sprayed them with a matte sealer and everyone of them ran!! I was so sad...but I just inked them up with blue Stazon and stamped/embossed white snowflakes on top! (saw that idea on SCS...of course!) I think maybe the best way to seal them would be to use UTEE...
