Default Which Pearl Ex assortment?

Looking for suggestions as to which Pearl Ex assortment (page 232) is the most useful for a newbie? I am leaning towards II, but would appreciate your wisdom/experiences.
Merci.

I guess is depends on which color group you have/prefer. I like the Earth Elements and Rich Regals and have found my Asst III works well with both. I have fallen in love with the PearlEx Melt technique so am using my PE alot right now. HTH

I also like #3 the best since it has all the colors you need for lovely flowers, as well as a metallic.

I like Asst. #2 because it has micropearl.

I love to use my p/ex mixed with hairspray and micropearl looks great on every color CS!

Barbfarmd, Please satisfy my curiosity!
What is the p/ex melt technique?

D.

D, Pearl Ex Melt is the technique where you stamp your image with Versamark, heat it, daub on the PearlEx and then heat again. It works really well with stamps like Botanical Garden and More Petal Prints, for example. I have attached a card from my gallery using this technique if you'd like to see it. HTH

I got PE II first. It seemed the most versatile. Recently I purchased Wonderful Wings (due to all the spectacular cards in the gallery) and with it I got PE III. I love the turquoise/lavendar/pink butterflies I've been seeing!

I've just bought #I, since I've never used the stuff before, but it also depends on your cardstock color and the colors you blend together. See my gallery for 3 samples I did. Whatever assortment you choose, you can't go wrong!! I'm hooked on the stuff!!!

Barb,
What a great card. I will now have to get the Pearl Ex pretty fast as I so want to try the melt technique. Thanks.

Pam,
Loved your gallery, especially the blue/greeny effect. Really outstanding. Now I have something else to shot for.

All,
Thanks for sharing your experiences. It really helps.
