Where could I find a good selection of patterned paper? I have solid cardstock, but am lacking the patterned paper. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
What kind of coloured cardstock to you have? Are you using Stampin' Up!'s cardstock, or some that you found at Michael's or a local scrapbook store?
If you have SU!'s cardstock, the promo that's on right now is awesome - buy 3 packs and get the 4th for free. The colours all co-ordinate together, and it's a snap to put pages/cards together.
Otherwise, the easiest thing to do is to try and match up your cardstock with some patterned paper at a local store. This is always tricky as you need to put them side by side to see if they go together.
To make it easy on yourself, try and match up what you have with collections that feature the same colours. It's always a win-win at that point.
Yes, definitely -- you want to get your patterned paper from the same company where you purchased your card stock, otherwise it will be difficult to get the same colors. Nothing bugs me more on a card than colors that aren't *quite* the right shade!

When I first started paper crafting all those years ago, I bought a whack of the cardstock packs from the big M. That stuff doesn't match with ANYTHING!!! I gave it all to my kids. What a waste of $$$.
Now... if it has a flamingo pattern in there somewhere, I'm ALL over it!
Location: prolly in my 'rubber room'... in the mid-west

i agree! i like it to be right on NOT not quite right...
you need to buy from the same company.
my first preference is SU! but i also like american crafts but alas... my hobby lobby doesn't carry it any more
I started using dcwv paper packs. They are usually 40 or 50% off at joanns. The papers are so pretty and I can match them really good with my SU card stock. Here is a link to the papers from Joann.com, but I think most retail joann stores carry them too.
I love this site for the gallery and just received my SU paper special of one pack free.
I use the gallery to help me decide on designer paper by entering that in the search.
This site has the most fantastic color combination challenbges to inspire a person. and SU has print pack designer paper to co0ordinate. lovin that. BGasic grey is also a regular favorite

I am stampin up all the way, but I did just get my first order of Gina K's white card stock and now will adding it to use as a base. But you have to love how everything matches up with SU!
If you happen to use Prism they have a list on the website that tells what colors match the various lines from companies such as Basic Grey, Cosmo Cricket, My Mind's Eye and Graphic 45. (With more to come)

My current favorites are Basic Grey, Bella Boulevard, Jillybean Soup, Cosmo Cricket, Bo Bunny (love the Double Dot!!), Crate Paper, October Afternoon and American Crafts, to name a few. ;)
When the last SU catalog came out, a lot of demos did paper shares--you get a 6x6 sheet of every designer paper from the catalog for about $30-35. I definitely hope some do it again this time!
