My problem is I think the stamps are adorable- but I don't have ANY of the punches. So I'd have to get them AND the stamps!
Actually you don't HAVE to have the punches to use the stamps - as I was designing my samples with them I used what punches I have (quite a few but not all) and I found that a lot of the stamps would work great on their own and could just be cut out or stamped as is (of course it's my nature to enable eveyone tho!! ;))
I have been delaying my order with Papertrey for awhile now. I do Love the Butterflies and Ladybugs. But when I heard about 5 releases this month I decided to wait. I tell you Nichole's blog today really looked intresting with these new stamps. I am so looking forward to seeing them and more than likey placing my first order!

I've also been delaying ordering ..... I put myself on a strict no-stamp-buying hiatus & I'm doing well. But I absolutely love Green Thumb, & with the sneaks I've seen I don't know how much longer I can hold out. I also want to order some of her paper .... I hear it's awesome!
I have been delaying ordering more punches... but I figured once people saw all of that cute stuff they could make, those babies would be gone and their pricing with free shipping over $40 is awesome....so I bit the bullet and ordered a few more to fill in what I already have BEFORE THE RELEASE! I LOVE Green thumb, Faux ribbon and Text Styles, and figured I could hold out and buy one or maybe two of the new releases and spread it out over a few months, but I know I won't be able to do that....so I figured if I ordered in smaller quantities it would be better...wink wink... so as not to distress my husbando...YIKES
I absolutely love Papertrey stamps, but I have a really hard time using them. I just can't make anything I really like, even though I love everything I see. I own every set but the first one, and will most likely own all of the new sets in the next month or two as well. I just wish I was better with them.
My budget was blown the minute I got addicted to stamping, so I'm not too worried about how deep the hole can be!
I feel your pain! You should check out papertrey's gallery, there are so many cute inspirational ideas. Check out my gallery, I don't have all of her sets, the butterfly and ladybug one, but I have done a few cards and Love that stuff! Try searching Papertrey in the SPS search. I bet you would find a few there as well. Nichole is so clever. But you need to take a leap and go for it. Honestly, there are so many things to do, it's probably overwhelming, but just try mimicking a card, and adding your own special flair....it will work out
Only do this if you are prepared to spend $$$:-D I didn't really NEED any papertrey sets until I saw the gallery there...right up my alley, just AWESOME!!!
I can see my credit card exploding with the overload I bought some of the scallop punches a few weeks ago and love them. Now I'm going to get some more of them and some of the stamps to go with them.
Perhaps I won't mention to DH about the SU! order that has just arrived too............I'm sure those stamps have been in the cupboard for ages ;)

Ooh I cant wait for this weekend to see all the new stuff. The sneak peeks are great!! I only have 1 scalloped punch because I've been looking around to use coupons with them. But for now, I will place about a $40 order on stamps this weekend. :p Cant wait!!

Anyone else sitting up until midnight to wait for the reveal? I have NEVER done that before but the sneak peeks are making me think I simply must... I feel I may be in trouble here ;)
I think I have nothing better to do tonight! I am just hoping I won't need all 5 sets, because that will be rough! Haha...okay who am I kidding... I will!
My thoughts are that they will all be $15. I'm not sure if I will be ordering any of them or all of them. I will have to check these ones out and put a lot of thought into it. I don't have any of the punches since I use my Cricut for scallops and those will not line up at all with the stamp images. We will find out soon!

But she did design mini ones that you place inside the scallops yourself- so those will work.

Most definitely...I always stay up. I am lucky, though, living in Colorado and this time zone. Our reveal happens at 10pm.
I have my eye on the reverse sentiments and I have not gotten the rectangle and heart punches yet.

Sorry, slight hi-jack... Which Cricut cartridge has the scallop shapes on it?!? Some how I missed that one.
I've been staying up late every night decluttering, so I'll be leaving the dust bunnies to their dreams at midnight to check out the new sets. Looking forward to seeing the complete sets.

Mini Monograms has the circle & square scallops.
Doodlecharms has the heart scallop.
Alphalicious has the oval scallop even though it has a hole punch on the top.
I plan to be staying up tonight. In November, I had Global Transient Amnesia. Yesterday, It happened again. My sister-in-law called and asked me several questions, which I answered, "I don't remember". She asked if I remembered how to stamp, and I said, "Yes". When I got my faculties back, I remembered about Papertrey, and checked the computer, in case I'd missed it. Now that's something amazing. Eileen

It seems to me that the new sets are based on the shape, so if you have circles, ovals, squares whatever, you will have a complete set to go with. Personally, I love the idea that you can put a design into the scallop, so even if you may not be able to use the squiggle lines to outline the scallop, you could still use it in a straight punch, or use the small design into your own scallop shape, or use the reverse sentiment on anything! Her stuff is so versatile! How will you be able to resist! I can't even find a SU set that makes this much sense! I bet the little teeny design that fits into your Cricut scallop will work. Good luck!
Check out Ellen Hutson's Store and Blog, she is promoting Spellbinders new die cuts that are scalloped circles, ovals, square and rectangles. They are way big in size, I think 6 sizes that come nestled together. Will work with a cuttlebug!!! Way less $$ then buying each punch.

scroll down and read about the new die cuts coming the end of August and being shown at CHA. You can preorder at Ellen's store ellenhutson.com I think these are going to be a BIG hit.
Love her "hint" in their banner ad. I'm thinking that's all the frame-type designs in the sets, plus those cute little doo-dads and the reverse sentiment stamps.
