Default paper piecing

Hello:

Does anyone do paper piecing? If so, what have you found to be the best type of paper to use? And adhesive? Thanjs

Hey, Jolene - welcome to Splitcoast! I use whatever patterned papers fit what I want to piece, although thinner ones are easier to cut than thicker. The adhesive I like best is the Martha Stewart All-Purpose Gel Adhesive with the fine-tip applicator. It lets you "wiggle" a little if you don't land exactly where you want, but holds tight when it dries. Easy to apply, a little goes a long way - just a great product! I can usually find it at Michaels or Joanns and use a coupon, but I've been working on the same bottle for a few years now...

I'd agree with Sue that thinner papers work well, they are easier to cut, but at the end of the day, I use whatever patterned scraps I can find that work with my design ;-). And I use a liquid glue, my personal favourite is Aleene's Tacky, or a glue pen sometimes for very small pieces.
We have a great tutorial for 3D paper piecing, too:3D Paper Piecing Tutorial - Splitcoaststampers. I've bought the glue she uses, but I still haven't actually tried it out yet.
