Paint Can- Charity auction deployed spouse???

I am thinking about making something for the charity auction that we have coming up for our Air Force Spouses Group. There are so many people deployed all the time ... I thought maybe I would make a deployment survival paint can. Here is what I would love help with. Cool ideas that are inexpensive to put inside.

I would title it "Hero At Home"
Book- Hero's At Home, book for spouses of a service member.
Lifesavers- To keep you afloat when the tears come.
Journal- to keep track of all your thoughts and feelings.
CD to save all your emails back and forth.
Glass bead pen to write in the journal.
Cards to send the loved one.
Blue Star flag- hangs in the window of something with a loved one deployed.
Proud Air Force Spouse magnet for fridge.
Lotion- to make your skin silky smooth for the redeployment (return).
Chocolate wrapped in stamped wrappers- in case you have a rough day take one of these! (or something to that effect)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! This will be my first paint can, and I am excited to do it.

I think those are great ideas..you could possible include postage stamps also or maybe some bubble bath for the person to be able to relax and get away from it all (you know calgon take me away)...you have a great list there and I think it is a very cute idea. I was the wife of a deployed soldier and if we had an event like this I would bid on your paint can...

Great List.... I have seen pill bottles filled with candy -- TicTacs or mints -- Make a label the looks kind of like a pharmacy label. Dr. Andi's prescription for.....
