Not sure which sweet lady helped my hubby but.....
some moderator did a real huge good deed. My hubby contacted SCS to get access to my work for a news channel here in town that was surprising me with an award and $800.00! I was so shocked when they ambushed me this morning.
It is an Act of Kindness award for all the cards I have donated to the troops (around 50,000) and swim teams to make money, churches I support and others.
They are coming tomorrow am to get footage of my stamp room. I guess I best head in there and clean up...lol.
Anyway, they were so happy to get pics of my work from SCS. I am so grateful to whomever was the kind soul who helped.
The money is getting donated right back to my church in its entirety.
As soon as a link is available I will post it Lydia so you can see it

I am still in shock that my sweet hubby did this. They filmed in my church so you can see the rack of cards...some spots are empty because they sold a lot yesterday. And tomorrow am they are coming to the house to get pics of my craft room...not telling them I have stuff in 3 other rooms and the garage...lol.
Congrats, Amber and so well-deserved! Your hubby is definitely a keeper!

A big Hoo-rah! I love it when I hear of people recognized for acts of kindness that are more "behind the scenes". Love it...and congrats, Amber! It's well deserved.
Thanks ladies! You all are equally deserving. One thing I have found about the ladies here is that you all are equally deserving for the joy you bring others with your cards. I totally dont like being in the spotlight and my hubby said I was pretty nervous but it was something. Besides cards I have been making cute totes with 4 cards for the church and they sell as fast as I bring them in. There ard pics in my gallery.
hugs ladies and thanks again for your sweet words.
Hoping you can come. I still have that wheeled tote for your daughter!
Still planning on it! April may not make it (if she can't find a sitter for Leila), but she'll be thrilled to have the tote! I have my own car now, so DH is on his own this time... ;)
How wonderful!! Your husband must be a great man to do that for you! And all those cards! Wow! Congrats and enjoy the spotlight (even if you are nervous.)

Please try to text me Friday. So I can get the right amount of food and spots to sit at ready.
Congratulations Amber!! I can't imagine anyone more deserving of this honor than you. Generosity is your middle name
Hope you post the news clip of you getting the award

I took a look in the gallery-how cute are those??? Is the tote a variation on a card box? Just adorable!
Often the most deserving are also the most reserved about recognition. Relax. Enjoy it. No one is going to give you credit for a lifetime of doing the wash or something...lol. I am willing to bet you are a person who does way more than the cards anyway. ;)
You are hyper fortunate to have a hubby who does this kind of thing.
I suggest you hold back a bit of the money and sit with him in the park and have an ice cream or something.
OMG Amber, what awesome news!!! So happy for you. You deserve it. Good things come back to good people and you are definitely ONE OF THE BESTEST!!!!
HUGE hugs from Pennsylvania!!!!!!
Let me chime in and congratulate you! I don't know how you have all the energy (not to mention time, money, and creativity) to make all those cards to donate to so many wonderful causes. You are a wonder! I look forward to seeing the news story on you.
Congratulations to you Amber. Even though you don't rally in the recognition, it is well deserved! Sometimes it's nice to know that you are appreciated for all that you do for others. I'm sure all those awesome troops didn't know the wonderful people that sent them those cards. Such a heartwarming story.
What an inspiring story of love and devotion between partners! The people you help share in this recognition of your generous spirit. Congratulations! Diane
