We are so excited to announce the Northern Indiana SCS Retreat & want to see how much interest there is out there. This will be a wonderful weekend of pampering and stamping - how much better can it get!!!
Date: Friday, May 20 & Saturday, May 21st, 2005
Time: Friday evening from 7:00 pm until Saturday at 4:00pm
Where: The Oakwood Inn
702 East Lake View Rd
Syracuse, IN www.oakwoodpark.org
This is a gorgeous 42 acre spot on Lake Wawasee - check out the website!!!! Syracuse, Indiana is located just south of the Elkhart/Goshen area. It's about 2 1/2 hrs. east of Chicago, 2 1/2 hrs. north of Indianapolis, 1 hr. west of Ft. Wayne, 1 hr south of Kalamazoo - You get the idea. They have a map on their website under location. We are not very far from Michigan - I know you Michigan ladies would love to come too.
Fee: We are still determining the menu so I don't have a definite price; however, we plan on keeping it under $85.
Registration Deadline: March 14, 2005 (because they require a deposit based on the number of people 2 months prior)
Once we have the price set, the fee will include 1 night lodging (2 people per room), a served breakfast and a lunch buffet on Saturday, snacks, meeting room rental, and lots of drawings!
Activities will include: card contest, shoebox swap, card front swap, drawings, tons of displays & lots of time to socialize with our SCS friends!
Once we have all the details set, we will post the finalized plans and all the registration information.
If you are interested or have questions, please post to this thread.
Oh I'm so jealous!
I'm in Schererville IN so that would work out perfect except I'm school during the week and work every saturday :( The next weekend is my friend's wedding so I can't ask off work 2 weekends in a row. How sad. But its nice to know who all is from Indiana here!
Melissa, I grew up around FW and my family still lives there! Where in FW are you from? Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread!
I'm jealous of you guys who get to go!!!
Hey!! I am interested! Plainfield is approx. 10 miles west of Indianapolis.
I was born, raised and graduated in Fort Wayne, so I have a good idea where this event will take place! Let me know how to help!!
I grew up in Auburn and my husband and I moved to SW Fort Wayne (Aboite township) this past June. We previously lived near Coliseum & Hobson in NE Fort Wayne.
That sounds really fun! Hopefully my husbands work schedule will work out so that I can attend! I've lived in Fort Wayne all my life. Graduated from North Side High School.
Count me as 'THERE'!!!! I've stamped with Kendra before! This girl is fun and talented. We will have a blast!!! Share this info with other stamping friends!
How exciting!
I live in North Webster, 5 minutes from Syracuse. I know Oakwood, my friend was the head chef there for several years and my family has a lake house on Wawasee.
I will have to check my schedule, but it sounds good to me. Also lots of my friends scrapbook so I am sure they would be interested.

Hello fellow Hoosiers! I want to come play too! I live in Indy, but I don't mind driving Kendra, will you keep us up to date on the events, money, etc.? Sounds like a blast! I can't wait to meet all of you! Amanda
I am interested. Let me know when more details are available. I'm assuming this is quite a ways from Greenwood (south of Indy), but I don't mind driving. Sounds like so much fun!!!!
Finally! An SCS get-together for the Hoosiers....I am from Munster and would like to be there...however, that is the same weekend as the Scrapbook Expo in St. Charles -- used to be at the Rosemont! Anyway, my daughter and I go every year. This year she may not be able to go, so I would say....COUNT ME IN! Keep me posted on the particulars and I will check it out on my end!
WAHOO!

I'm looking at the map, and that seems do-able to me. Anyone know how long it takes from Grand Rapids??
Any other West Michigan area stampers wanna carpool?

I would truly love to come.........I'm really excited. I'm hoping that maybe a few of the people that live closer to Indianapolis might be able to car pool. I drive up to Goshen all the time, as my husband gets treatment from the Goshen Cancer Center, but would really love some company on that longish drive.....................

Ladies, I should have final details Monday. They changed the menu and prices on the food so I just want to get that nailed down and then I'll have the registration form and information sheet available.
OH yea, oh, yea...Southern Indiana delegation here! I'm in.
For all you Southern Indiana folks who don't want to make that trek alone...give me a shout! [email protected] We could carpool or ride together. I live in Vincennes which is smack in the middle of Evansville and Terre Haute.
I have an SUV that seats 7 usually, but 4 when you factor in stamp supplies and luggage. I'm a lot of fun, but I like my Tim McGraw, Toby Keith, and Kenny Chesney so beware!
My parents live in Northern IN so I'm used to that trip. Let me know!
