Default Need help with paper mache!

I have been given about 50 round paper mache boxes, 3 sizes that stack. Biggest is about 5" across. I don't know what to do with them. I could come up with ideas if they were square but round it too hard to stamp on the sides and the shape is not exact so the tops are hard to cover when I can't just use a circle cutter. I have a few ideas but sure don't want that many the same. I did try covering them with stamped paper but then the lids didn't fit back on some of them. Anyone with ideas please help!

I've sponge painted with acrylic paints - painted a base coat of cream and then sponged on different shades of blue with some mauve thrown in. Another idea I've seen and haven't tried is decoupage tissue paper onto the box. If you use lighter shades of tissue paper, you should be able to stamp on that.
