Thank you for those of you who responded to the first post!! With your help I just mailed over 3 boxes totalling 704 cards!! For those of you who missed the first post here's the info:
I am from Alaska where our 172nd Stryker Brigade has been deployed to Iraq. They hit their 1 year mark on July 23 and were set to come home. Some had already come home others were in the airport and well on their way. BUT, they were extended (indefinately, but probably 4 more months) and moved to Baghdad. This has devestated some familes here and is hard on the soldiers too. The ones in the airport had to stay, and the ones that were already home have been sent back.
I have been holding Stamp-A-Stack for Iraq workshops with my customers and different church groups to make cards and send them to the soldiers for them to use to send to their friends and family members. This is where you come in..........If you have ANY cards you can donate, or card fronts that could be made into cards that would be greatly appreciated! I am trying to get boxes over there once a month-more often if at all possible. These soldiers (and their families) need these cards now more then ever!! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
And again, thank you to those who have already sent cards! Without your help I would not be able to get so many over there.

What a great cause. I am a principal of an elementary school and we will once again start up Operation Care. We try to get every student to make a card or write a letter about 600 a month. May your mailbox overflow.
Hi Karen,
I am still on board and have your info sitting right on my note pad. I will try to get the cards mailed out this week. I will definitely hold up to my promise! Thanks for doing such a great thing!
I will see what I can come up with. I remember seeing on the news about these soldiers coming home only to find out they were going back immediately. Must have been heart breaking. Hope they all come home safe and sound very soon.
