I absolutely cannot believe I've done this! But I totally forgot until TODAY that a co-worker/friend that I've worked with for over 10 years is leaving - TOMORROW is her last day!! Ah! Now what? She loves to stamp/make cards and actually has borrowed some of my stuff in the last few weeks while working on Christmas gifts. So. I don't want to buy her a gift card (she just gave me one as a "Thank You" for loaning her my stuff - what a goof!). I was thinking maybe just a gift bag of goodies from Michaels or somewhere? Like a few dollar spot stamps, maybe some bazzill paper, stickers, etc?? Thoughts or other ideas?? All suggestions welcome!
i usually make up a nice card set. maybe featuring her fave stamp set? or a monogram set? i have a stash of clear boxes that hold a set of 8 cards with envies. or if you have some 3-d item that could easily be altered?

I have begun making "color bursts" for my stamping friends. I pick a color and buy a bunch of stamping supplies in that color--easy to do and you can really have fun with it. Primas, ribbon, brads, eyelets, paper, glitter, embossing powder, ink pads, gel pens, stickles--you name it, if it's the right color it goes into a metal pail (correct color, of course) and gets decorated with same-color ribbon. Easy way out!

I, too, love this idea!!! Way cool and something that I'm now stealing... Errr, borrowing! You can have it back, so we'll call it borrow! LOL!

THAT is a fantastic idea! Too bad I didn't see it before I left for lunch!
I ended up with several sheets of Bazzill paper and a couple sheets of dp, chipboard buttons, a sheet of stickers, a white gel pen, a couple of little clear stamp sets (and an acrylic block), metal words, ...and something else, but can't remember what it is. Plus I have a bunch of brand-new-in-packages brads that I will probably throw in. Hope she likes all of it! And I only spent $10 because most of it was in the $1 bins!
I would also include some stamped images in the gift, especially since you probably know which of your stamps she likes.
Also, if you give her stamped images you could include pictures of cards made with those images. I gave a couple of people stamp sets and included the pictures of cards made with them just for an idea of what you can do with them.
