Default Karen Gregorian's Wedding box Instructions

Alot of you are asking for the pattern to this box. I am so sorry to say that there is not a pattern. Well that really is not the truth. there is a pattern, but it is stuck in my husbands head. So I need to learn how to lay him on the copy machine and squeeze a little. I do know that is takes 3 -12x12 sheets of cardstock. Each one cut into a T! One T being slightly smaller than the other T. The lid is an 8 1/2 by 11 sheet of cardsotck. scored on 2 inches all the way around and than cut like you would when your trying to make a box. Gee I hope this helps!!! I am so happy that all of you love this so much!!
stamp with me soon, Karen

Karen, I am one who's totally in love with the box!! To me it looks like 4" squares were cut out of each corner of the bottom piece, then each of the 2 other pieces cut the same way only with slightly larger squares cut out each time....yes?

BTW, it's nice to "meet" you...I think you are my upline through Bev Y. in Spokane...

"One of these days" I plan on seeing if my guess is right on that box!

Hugs,
Betsy

I was looking through my favorites and saw the wedding box. Has anyone posted a template for this yet?

By the way, here's a link to photos of the wedding box for those that may not have seen it yet!

This is from an episode on Carol Duvall called the Falling Down Sewing Kit.

It's not exactly the same box, but it's a pattern could probably be adapted. Hope that helps. Linda

Default WEDDING BOX

I think this is similar to a project shown in Rubber Stamper issue July/Aug 2002. There were no instructions or pattern. I just had to wing it. I used 3- 12 x 12 and 1- 8-1/2 x 11 for the top (actually the picture shows 5 layers). For the outside box I made the base of the box 4" square and the sides 3-1/2 " high. Cut in T formation. Then each smaller box was reduced by 1/4" ea side but leaving the height the same. I used the SU grid sheet to lay it out. You could try reducing the by only 1/8". I thought it might be a little to snug with making the lid to fit. I did not have a lot of time.
Try it- Good luck!
