You can continue to ink and stamp the difficult image repeatly on scrap, it helps condition the stamp to take ink correctly. (without cleaning the stamp between uses)
Also try VersaMagic inks, they work well on even brand-new acrylic stamps.

Ok I'll give that a try. I have also taken the stamp and rubbed it on my jeans that didn't even work. They are quality stamps, just being difficult. LOL.
This probably won't help if you want to use the inks that you already have.... but I have the best luck using pigment inks with the clear stamps instead of dye inks.

Some people use a pencil eraser and "erase" the mold-release agents off of the polymer. I find that the adhesive pickup square rubbed over the polymer like an eraser does the best job. I have gotten tremendous results by doing that...regardless of quality of polymer.
Memento inks are the absolute best for clear stamps...

I've found the best pads for me for clear stamps are ColorBox Chalk ink pads. Dye inks give a different look which is sometimes preferable. I actually really like CTMH ink pads for clear stamps too, but I think it all depends on each individual stamp.

One of the best inks I've tried lately for clear stamps are the Studio G inks (can get them at Michaels). They are a chalk ink, and the white is the best white ink I have found. And for the price, you can afford all the colours. What I really like about them too is that they actually dry! I ran my finger over the white ink on black cardstock about 5 minutes after I stamped it and no smearing whatsoever. I get excellent results with Clearsnap Fluid Chalk inks too...Clearsnap Crafters also work well.
