Default Ideas for Hubby

My awesome sister is taking me and my Mom on a cruise at the end of this month (I know... she IS the greatest sister in the world) ... anyway... since I am leaving my hubby behind to fend for himself and take care of everything I wanted to leave him some goodies, treats, notes ... you know... something for each day that I am gone to tell him I love him and am thinking of him...

A few weeks ago I was gone a few days so I made some sour cream containers filled with chocolates and put them all around the house...

I am looking for something different...

anyone have any good ideas... I will be gone a total of 10 days so I need lots of ideas.

Thanks so much!

When DH was living overseas while we were still dating every time I visited I'd hide notes around his apartment. I hid them everywhere! One time I hid about 100 little notes in all sorts of places... sock drawer, utensil drawer, under his computer keyboard. It would take him at least a month to find them all sometimes longer. It was something he really enjoyed since he would find them and they would brighten his day.

One fun thing is to write a message if you have shower doors. Use a bar of soap and a light touch. When they fog up during a shower you can read the note!

Post what you decide to do I'm sure it will be fun and thoughtful!

Small ($5) starbucks/mcdonald's/etc gift card
Nice pen or pencil (like the "nice" $1.50 ones at Walmart)
A magazine for his hobby

Maybe a hint of something you will wear on the night you get back?!?!

When my hubby had to go out of town for some time, I thought about making leaving some notes in his suitcase or making a card. But I realized that he wouldn't notice the notes and he might look at the card once. So, since he reads each night before bed, I made him a bookmark that had small photos of me and our pets (our children since we don't have the human kind) and a little poem about being together even when we were apart. This way he could see it everynight he was away and think about his family. He still uses it 3 years later.

i used to put little 'love notes' in the pockets to all the pants or shorts he took when ever he traveled. the travel was sometimes for fun, sometimes for work.

we will be celebrating 20 years together later this month... maybe it is time for me to start doing this again!

you could leave a little note or treat in the pockets to his favorites that you are sure he will wear while you are gone.

My husband loves food gifts. You could maybe get some of your husbands favorite treats and package them nicely and hide them. You could leave him a clue where to find them in envelopes so he opens one each day. YOU could be day 10 treat or whatever day you will return on!!!

Well I left last night and am now in Las Vegas with my sister... Here is what I decided to do for my hubby this time while I am gone 2 weeks... I had an enevelope for each day I would be gone and I filled it with something... sometimes it was a special card/note I made, some candy bars, some puzzles, and little tin filled with chocolate that I decorated... so he will have something to open every day... along with that I put a basket of goodies on the table for him to enjoy whenever he wants... some snack bars, some chocolate bars, some candy, some chips...
The fridge and freezer are full with food for him so he should be all set...
Thanks everyone for all your thoughts and if you have any more I am always happy to hear them... I will probably be heading back out here (Vegas) in January.
Have a GREAT day everyone!
