Anyone have any good ideas on how they display their cards at craft shows? I don't want to put them in a basket to be thumbed through, seems like people don't look at them that way. I don't know if just laying them out on the table in piles is good either.
use a clear plastic sleeve to put your cards in. or have a back board and hang them on the wall. like a poster board that kids use to do their science projects it got 3 sides to it i think

yep thats what my demo does. puts them in sleeves and then stickes them to the poster board with velcro. She does a section for winter, birthday, all occasion/thinking of you, you get the pic.

Definitely display them in sleeves....I have a box of cards at work that get rummaged through regularly and they do get a bit damaged from handling.
Have you considered one of those photo tree thingies. They are metal and have all these arms that you can put photos into. You could put the cards in them. (Hopefully you know what I'm taking about). Just check how tight the part that holds the card/photo is bc one that I had made it hard to remove the photos.
This is great! I's buy in a minute. You are so lucky to have a handiman. Mine can only hunt, fish and golf. He tries but we do not let him touch power tools. He has the "finger" to show why!
Funny, I get many more lookers flipping through if the cards are in baskets. Just make sure they're shallow enough that the cards can be seen easily -- no more than 2 inches or so deep.

I've purchased 2 different wire racks. Ended up selling one. They were only $10 (at a garage sale) and $25 at an old "dry goods" store in town. I started out by telling EVERYONE what I was looking for (then a friend found a garage sale with 10 of them!!!). I also started going into stores and asking if they had any old ones to part with. That's how I found my other one--the owner took me up to the attic and let me choose from bunches! They were terribly dirty and dusty, but cleaning was worth the price! ;-)
Also--keep your eye/ear out for stores going out of business, but you have to be FAST! I was never fast enough...

I got a tall rack that holds about 12 cards per slot and has either 48 or 60 slots cant remember. It turns in circles and is floor standing. Picked it up on Ebay for $60.00. I love this rack. There is a place on top for a poster/flyer with pricing.
Blessings.
I will be using old frogs (with the sticky points up) and old folding rulers to display mine. I also have vintage candy displays (for the countertop and where the packages would hang off hooks) as well as spinning display that the cards can be clipped on.
I have bought all my display stuff from one of the following: (1) antique stores (but I am into that anyway if you haven't already figured that out), (2) flea market finds, (3) eBay, and (4) Etsy.
www.abctarget.com has them and with shipping (to me) it was like $75 for a 48 pkt spinner. I haven't invested yet since I'm new to the craft show circut and want to see how they sell first. I used a ribbon board when I did an open house (you know with the criss cross ribbons that you can tuck things in... not a cork board) anyway it worked well.
I got two table racks off ebay, can't remember the name of the seller, and also picked up some cute wicker baskets lined with gingham from big lots, they are quite small and I put different categories of cards in each. I used to do a Christmas show and made ornaments, I found a wire tree in Target for those, just hung them on the branches.
They are only $26.25 each and we were both surprised how nice they were. Very sturdy, very easy to fold up the support for transporting. The 2 1/2 inch pocket size held the french fry boxes and tile coaster sets also.
For Christmas last year, my DH and DD and DS gave me this wire rack card spinner. Love it! Here it is on the right side of the photo. I will try to find the info on where he ordered it from.
