I would like to know how you sign the back of your cards and do you do it differently for different situations. For example do you sign your cards one way when sending to family and friends, another way when putting them out for sale, and another when you submit them for swaps her on SCS. What do you write and how do you write it? Do you just use any stamp that says "stamped by" "handmade just for you" created by" etc. or do you have a specialty stamp that you had made up just for signing the back of your cards?
For friends and family cards I've always used 'handmade by' or 'created by' stamps and then signed my name underneath. I've just recently got a personalised stamp that says 'Created by Ruth' that I got from Onyx Xpressions so that's what I'm using now. Here's a link to their custom stamps page:
I ordered some stamps with my first name - handmade by, cards by, made especially for you by, created by. I do other crafts besides cards so that is why I have stamps with different sayings.
I found a really cute stamp of a 4th of July girl when I first started stamping. Since that is my b-day, she makes it onto the back of every card I make!
I have the personalized stamp from SU that says "Hand stamped by my first name" and I also have one from CTMH that says "Hand Stamped with Heart and my full name" I use these on all my cards.
I have a special stamp, a Mary Engelbreit, That says Hand stamped with Love--I use just for my family and close friends. All others I simply sign with my own artsy initials and sometimes the year, such as 08 or 09.
I keep looking at other stamps, but I want my own made and have looked into it, but haven't had it done yet.
I print out little mailing labels...I really should just buy a stamp one of these days. But I include my name, email, and my etsy address. I do it regardless what I'm using the card for. You never know where it may travel.
I have a personalized stamp that says "created with love especially for you" in a circle and "by Mint" in the middle. But on every card, no matter who it's going to, I emboss it with versamark & clear embossing powder. It looks really cool and non card makers really get a kick out of it. "How did you do that?!" Hey, just doin my part to give people a small thrill.

That is a really cool idea. I may have to try that one. Thanks for sharing it.

Trish, I have a real boring Signature that I use on my cards.
Created by Nancy Beauchamp I usually add the month & Year after my name.
This way other's will know when I made the card.
I still want to make another one for my business. Just don't know how I want to set it up.

I have a personalized stamp- specifically for my scrapbooking/cardmaking/ATC's. I got it through eBay. (I just ordered 3 more) One word for you: loongchai74. ;) http://stores.shop.ebay.com/loongchai74__W0QQ_armrsZ1
Before that, I used a stamp that has "Handmade By" on it.
I use clear return address labels..they have "handmade especially for you by meg c__ creations" with my email address on the bottom. And of course they have my avatar picture on them of my corgi. (It took a little bit of work in Word, but wasn't too bad). I print them in dark brown and they look adorable.
I also just bought a self-inking return address stamp from http://www.expressionery.com/ and it came in the mail today. It works great and with a MOM40 coupon code for 40% off and free shipping, it can be yours for about $30! They also have some new designer stamps that you can get with "handmade by" as well.
I use small return address labels, with a bar code font, that has a UPC, then underneath says "Designs by Linda". Looks like a price tag - and it's so much faster to stick a label on a card. I have 2 stamps, "Hand Stamped By" and "Hand Made By" but rarely use them since I started using the labels.

Caution: You are entering an artistic zone. This is not clutter - this is creating. These are not pajamas - it's my work uniform.
I have used many different stamps over the years, some that were made especially for me with my name. The fav that I have settled on is a tiny stamp that has a crown ( like you know what card co.) with 'handmade by' underneath then I sign my name.
I had a custom stamp made that says "Crafted by Kim" in cursive and then my e-mail address underneath that in a typewritten font. I use it for all my cards.
The stamp is a self-inking Ideal brand stamp and I got it at rubberstampchamp.com for under $10 including shipping.

That's so cool! Loongchai74 gets around, doesn't he? LOL! They take a while to get because he's in Malaysia, but I love them!
Hey, we're stampin' twins! I love mine and haven't seen another I would like better. What a deal for $2.50.
It was a deal! I got them a long while ago, but I still use them. My niece is doing a swap with me, so I'm going to have her use the 'Handmade By' one for her stuff and she can just sign her name.

I have a personalized SU! stamp for SU! cards and a Unity stamp for Unity cards and then for my neices and nephew I sign "Auntie" and the date on the back.
I have a Bunch that I use. Lol. I have one of the SU personalized ones and one of the SU sets that are meant for the back. Both of those are packed up back home. I meant to bring the personalized one, but it didn't make it. So while here I got a set from Whipper Snapper and a Bella and a Fluffles. I use the Fluffles one the most. I just LOVE that cat!! Lol. Anyways, then I put my initials: AH.
I run mine thru the printer. I created my "stamp" w/ my logo, name, date (year only) and a place for my signature. Next to it is a little "Hand Stamped/Painted Art Limited Edition" . I have several of these printer stamps for different card orientations, sizes, etc. It really comes in handy at Christmas. Just put the stack of card blanks in the printer and go. I just have to remember to print first before I do any attaching or stamping to the card blank. If I'm using black c/s I usually put a printed label on the back.
I write my name on the back, in the same color marker as the card base (unless the base is white; then I use a coordinating color). I bought a set that satisfies SU's angel policy in case I ever decide to sell any.
What would you do if you decided to use a M's dollar stamp on a card? How in the world would you figure out an angel policy stamp for that?
When I make cards for an occasion, like a birthday, I'll personalize the back for the recipient. I generate it on the computer along with the inside sentiment. It might be "Handmade by Mary Ann" or "Handmade by Aunt Mary Ann" along with the year. For my DH I use "Handmade with love" and the year. When I making cards for my stash, I don't personalize the back. When I send it, I just write my initials and the year.

Talk about obsessive - I have over 50 back of the card stamps. They range from nice and sweet, plain, to funny. If I'm selling the card I stick with the generic made by, designed by, art by, etc. For family and friends they get the made with love and the funny one like:
Stamped under the influence of chocolate
I stamped all night long just for you
Hallmark wishes they cards looked so good
Born to stamp, forced to work
Show me the rubber... and so on.
Alot of the stamps include images like flowers, leaves, etc. Oh and I have them for holidays/seasons (fall has leaves, a bunny for Easter, etc)
I sign and date friends and family. Cards for sale I don't date so there is no way to know if it's this year's stock or previous years.
Yea, I know it's a bit carried away, but everyone always flips over the card to see what I did so I might as well make it interesting! Plus, they are great for hiding a smudge!!
