I have stamp on the glazed tiles with stays on ink and bake them in the oven @ 250 for 20 min. This worked for me.

Since glossy glazed tiles are MEANT to have spills and stains (which is essentially what your inked image would be) slide right off, stamping successfully on them is tricky -- even with StazOn. Lightly spray-sealing seems to be one of the few things that has worked. Just make sure not to hold the can too close to the tile, or the sealer will puddle and make the ink run.

The only other way I can think of would be to heat emboss the image. I did this a few years back for Christmas presents and it looks really nice. Of course, then they cannot be used for hot drinks, lol....

I have a customer asking me the same question about stamping on the backsplash tiles behind her bathroom sink. Do you think that she would be able to wipe them off to clean them?

I've been stamping on tiles and using them as coasters. I just use Staz-on ink and sharpies (or chalks if I am going to seal them), bake them at 350 for twenty minutes, and they are good to go...
