Default help... what am i doing wrong???

I've been trying a brayer technique - don't know what it's officially called, but you start with a versamarked image on glossy cs. Then stamp the 2nd of a 2-step with ink. After that, brayer with another color. I love the look, but my problem is that the inked image smudges when I brayer. It doesn't seem to matter how long I wait for that stamped image to dry, the brayer smudges it. Does anyone else have this problem? or is there something very simple that I'm missing?

from what i know, you have to let the versamark dry completely.

So, is it actually the versamark that's picking up the color from the 2nd stamp and causing the smudging?

Whenever I've done this technique, I stamp the image in classic ink firsthen the versamark image, then brayer. I've never had a problem with smudging. Maybe the wet versamark is keeping your classic ink from 'sticking'.

Default problem

I think it is your order...

1. stamp with versamark
2. brayer over image with whatever color you are going to use
3. stamp whatever else you want on there with other color(s)
4. Let dry before touching
