Whomever this is posting this, God Bless you for informing consumers. I would be a little grumpy if March came and a stamp set I just paid $35 plus shipping for was for sale for around $10. I knew there had to be a way to let everyone know what was up! AND, if people still choose to buythis, that is their own deal and nothing wrong with what they as a buyer are doing, but at least now they are informed buyers.

We've been "discussing" this for the past couple of days....I can't remember the titel of the thread but there are over 160 I believe posts on it LOL
I am not sure, but maybe it was the SU demonstrator who listed Sincere Salutations. She stated that she was NOT selling anything but just wanted to inform others was was going on regarding sets sold on eBay.

I checked it out and it says that it was an invalid number and please check your number you entered. I'm glad to see that some of the violators are having their items removed from the sales on ebay.

It wasn't a violator that was pulled, it was was a SU demonstrator who's auction told all who were looking at Sincere Salutations that it was a free gift from SU to all demo's, that it would be available in March at a 50% discount, and NOT to buy from others who are listing it dishonestly. Sad that Ebay took it off....she was honest. :?

In all honesty I disagree with how this SU demo went about letting others know on Ebay about the legality of selling the Sincere Salutaions set and agree with Ebay for taking it down. There are proper channels to get wrongful merchandise off of Ebay.
I don't think Ebay removed it, she had planned on removing it herself.
Here is what the text said and if I was a consumer I would be glad to be fully informed. My upline sent us all the text in an email.
Hi. I want to start off by saying that I AM NOT selling this set. I am a Stampin' UP! Demonstrator and must say that I am disgusted by the actions of other "demonstrators" who have this set listed for sale. We (demonstrators) received this as a FREE - yes, I said FREE gift from SU! How low will some people go? I was so excited to receive this awesome gift from an awesome company. I mounted it as soon as I opened it and have already made some cards!!
You don't know me, but I feel obligated to pass along this information. You will be able to purchase this awesome set in the Spring at a substantial discount (probably around $10)!!!!! This is just one set of five that will be offered by SU for you to purchase at a discounted price. This is after the Sell-A-Bration offer. The rewards keep coming!!
What these "eBayers" are doing is highly against SU policy and they could (and should!) lose their status as a SU demonstrator. Please don't be fooled by their tactics to get you to purchase this set at a ridiculous price. Just by waiting a few months, you can have it from a reputable demonstrator at a fraction of the price! To find a reputable demonstrator near you, just visit the Stampin' Up! website at www.stampinup.com.
I don't expect you to respond to me, I just ask that you pass this info on to other innocent consumers.
Have a Very Merry Christmas & A Safe & Happy New Year!!!
I agree with what this demo did because it was beating all the "dishonest" demos at their own game. When signing the SU! contract, one is signing to abide by all SU! policies and regulations. SU! is not just a supplier of sorts, where you can make up your own rules. SU! has a great reputation and name to live up to. They don't need demos to discolor that image.
While ebay is a good place for some reputable sellers, there are many who are not. This demo was trying to inform others of the "price gouging". How would you feel if you paid $40 for a set that you could get for $10 in 2-3 months? I know I'd be furious.
True there are proper channels, she just chose the shortcut. Those that were going to bid on these sets know a little sooner thanks to her.
Hope I don't hurt anyone's feelings by this post but I'm feeling quite opinionated at the moment.

Don't think you hurt anyones feelings
What this Demo did though was against Ebay policy and that is why it was removed BY EBAY. If she wants the people selling this set to play by the rules she has to as well
Well someone is doing something. They use to have almost 200 pages of Stampin' Up products on Ebay and last nite there was only 26. So I guess someone is watching and taking care of this.

True. I think she made her point, though, to those who are selling it against SU! policy, don't you?
Mary
Possibly to some she did. I wasn't looking at buying the set so it didn't make a difference to me Some people want their sets when they want them KWIM?
