Default Gift shoes -- really need some help

Hi all -- the shoes that look like this one
Polka dots and high heels by finebear at Splitcoaststampers
can you please tell me are they made using card stock or DS papers ... I have seen lots of very pretty ones that look like they have been made with paper but then I don't understand how they are strong enough to hold anything .. Any help would be much appreciated .. Kim

I can't provide much insight since I haven't made these shoes (but they're SO adorable). But from what I can see, she used cardstock that is slightly textured (like DCWV often has), which makes it a little stronger. I have been amazed by how a little cardstock folded in the right places can hold so much. And a really good adhesive is important, too.

Try it with cardstock and red line tape - I think you'll be surprised by just how strong paper is.

I think a mixture of both--sturdy cardstock for the main part and embellished with dp! Love the shoes and here's a link to a free template for a 'witches shoe' by Ellen Hutson that I have always wanted to make for Halloween:

Then, Ellissa Rene made them here with it looks like cardstock and patterned paper!:

Sweet sweet sweet and hope this helps.
