My group of stampers just had our second annual garage sale last weekend. Seven of us had things to sell. This year we sold about $680. Last year we sold $920. Garage sales are a shot in the dark! Weather, other activities, location etc. can effect the outcome. We priced things to sell and advertised it as a sale for Scrapers and Stampers and especially for beginners. Pricing is always a guess. Just depends on how badly you want to get rid of things. Good luck with yours!

Most garage sales guidelines say to price at 10-20% of original cost. That's been my experience, you get about 10 cents on the dollar. If you KNOW there are stampers likely to attend, maybe price on the high side of that. And separate out any really RARE sets and check eBay to see what they actually sold for.

I want to add that a garage sale may not be the best place to sell stamps unless it is one of those sales organized to attract crafters. If you want best price, you might be better off in the BST forums, possibly. Or at least check the ISO Forum (In Search Of) to see if anyone is looking for any of the sets you are going to part with.

This article might help you, in general -- not just for stamping supplies:

Best garage sale pricing tips • Best Garage Sale Tips

I've held garage sales for the past 20 years, and gone to more than I could ever count, and most of what they say holds true in my experience.

Just keep in mind that is a garage sale. I price my stuff low. $1 for the small Sizzix dies. When your stuff is in a garage sale it is one step away from the trash so any money you make is better than nothing.

Display your stuff on tables. I refuse to bend down and dig thru boxes.

Price your items. I hate asking what it is.

Talk to your buyers. Make eye contact, joke, have fun.
