Default font for wedding invites

Hi all,

Merry Christmas!

Does anyone have a favorite both classic and funky font for wedding invitations?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Emily

there's one called Porcelain that you can download for free, do a search. It's a really classy yet kinda funky lookin' font that Making Memories & Stampin' Up! have both used recently (check out Many thanks - it's the scritchy scratchy elegant one). I used it to make a monogram for my sister's wedding invites, and will use it on my niece's, too!

There are so many that you can use for wedding invites, definatly check out the free sites Kayleigh, Bradley Hand, Chocolate Box, and Marine Regular are some favorties that seem to bee picked when I'm making invites.

I used Park Avenue on my daughter's & it looked great. It's found just about everywhere, no need to upload anything.

Hi Emily,

I sell wedding invitations for a living and the "classic" font is Park Avenue. There are a million other fancy fonts out there that would be great on an invitation! Good luck!

Omigosh, that site turned me into a font addict! 700+ installed and counting... There's definitely a whole library of free invitation-worthy fonts there!

My favorite is a pay-for font, though. It's the only one I've ever bought, and it was well worth the $19.95 for all the repeat usage I've gotten from it making cards and scrapbooking. It's called Cezanne, and it's based on the artist's handwriting. You may recognize it from the SU French Script background stamp, or the old retired Botanicals set text block stamp, or many of the sentiments/greeting sets current and old, or the Pottery Barn early holiday catalog this year, or Legacy papercrafting magazine, or... or... or... or...

You can take a look at sample text and/or buy Cezanne at MyFonts.

I've done three different invitations for my kids and they always pick Black Chance. It is formal looking with a little fun thrown in and still easy to read.
