I'm sure we have all purchased a duplicate supply, but just one week apart? I picked up a stamp at Michael's last week and repurchased it yesterday! I guess I really like it. Thankfully, it was just a $1 stamp and I can bless someone else with it. But, silly me!
I don't usually do that but my sister does...and I get the duplicate. I love that! She told me last week she had bought a duplicate punch so guess who gets it? Lucky me.

I've done that with the studio g stamps from michaels. I've even bought duplicates in the same bunch one day (I bought about 15 of the studio g stamp set and got a duplicate)
So, I have to ask....what stamp was it that you just had to have so badly that you bought it twice??? I haven't done that with stamps yet - yet being the key word there. I tend to do that with paper - especially when it's on sale for 40% off. I'll buy a couple of sheets because I just have to have it, only to get home and realize I already had it. My DH and kids are of the opinion that scrapbooking is a serious illness. LOL

It is just a Michael's $1 stamp that says "Wishing you A Bright and Shining future." I guess I'm in graduation card making mode. To my credit it was in Michaels in 2 different states! LOL! Had it been a $10 stamp, I probably would have remembered that!

I do that all the time! I have a friend who takes all duplicates and doesnt make fun of me! I read what stamp it was and now I have to go to Michaels and look for it!
Can I join your club? I do this too. A while back someone posted pics of cute $1 farm stamps at Michaels. I especially liked a cute little lamb and went to THREE Michaels in my town in one day, frantically looking for it.
So, yea, I finally found it and got it home. Guess what I found when I was putting my new stamp away? You guessed it, the cute lamb stamp I had already bought weeks ago. Duh.
I also seem to do this with paperback books. Oh, and for some reason, I always think maybe I'm out of catsup and always buy it when I already have it.

I have several duplicates of many things. I have them saved for my dd. She doesn't want anything until she gets a scraproom at her home. She is a major clean freak and doesn't want anything in a pile or sitting in a box unused unlike her mother.

I haven't done that yet either but mostly because I'm not near a Michaels! I am more apt to second guess my impulse and walk away from a great deal and then regret not buying. I do that all the time because I am not an impulse shopper. Then I have to call someone to see if they are going in the near future...
That is a pain too! I'd rather have two of something than none at all, sometimes.

I've only had two duplicates. One my sister gave to me as a stocking stuffer and I already had it. So I stamped the verse in one of my Christmas cards to a swap club upside down and told them whoever got the upside down verse would get a Christmas suprise. I mixed them up so I wouldn't know who was getting it.
My other duplicate is a CIStamp sleeping kitten. I have been using it as my "Hallmark" since I started stamping. Suddenly it was gone. I almost went nuts.
Well, you know what happened - CIStamps still have that stamp and as soon as I bought another, the first showed up. But I am hanging on to that duplicate. I am not kidding - I almost went nuts trying to find that stamp.

Very funny!! I can relate, but with a twist. My stamping buddy and I usually buy the same set at different times. When we get together to stamp, and we reveal, all excited, cause looky at the great stamp I got, we end up just shaking our heads in frustration!!! Now we each have one!!! ooooiiiyyeeeee I guess we have the same taste in stamps and paper, which is not a bad thing......... but still........

Stamps, Nestabilities, Copic Markers, punches, ink pads....I need a supply secretary.
I will say I took some cute new stuff to a community paper crafts garage sale last week. Made some other crafters very happy, I'm quite sure.
You sure did make some very happy crafters. My mouth starts to water when I see a garage sale ad that says craft items. If it turns out to be stamps or stamp pads, my knees weaken.
