Default Demo Re-play?

I'm not sure where to post this, so I guess I will start here...

I love stamping. Not a day goes by that I am not working on some project or another. I love Stampin' Up! so much that last year I signed up as a demo. It was kind of a difficult year (two moves, three jobs and health problems for my Mom and myself). I didn't have any workshops and was not even able to meet my $300 minimums. So, I got dropped.

My upline didn't really keep in touch with me when I moved. She was very nice and super enthusiastic, but she really wasn't up to the challenge of maintaining upline support for a new demo. In fact, I think she has since dropped off the demo list as well.

I am thinking of signing up again because I am in a much better place in my life for the opportunity and, even if I don't do a lot of sales, I am sure I could keep up with the quarterly minimums.

So, my question is this: Can I pick the demo who is going to be my upline now, or am I stuck with my old upline's upline? Silly, isn't it?

I admit I am mostly going to be signing up to "support my habit" but I am also thinking I could replace some of my overtime with stamping time and de-stress my life even more. Then, as I get closer to retirement, I will have a hobby and a means of income that will not require 12 hour shifts and a uniform!

OK, a lot of you who have been on this site a long time know I am very wordy, but even I think that is enough for now. Just wanted some advice.

I know it will be the best advice I can get!

i am not a demo but from what i understand you don't have to stay with your old upline. since you aren't a demo now you get to start over. so interview and pick someone who is the best "fit" for you.

I think you can do this after 6 months of being dropped. Otherwise you have the same upline or something... Maybe if your upline is dropped now you can pick someone new. Not sure on that one. But I know you normally have to wait 6 months before you can choose a new upline. HTH!

You have to be inactive for 6 months to sign up under a different upline. Now is a good time to do so with the stamp set incentive being offered.
