What do you do to keep it unclogged? I have been using a paperclip up until now...which has worked fine...up until now. Well, now the hole is too big and the CE gushes out.... So, now that I have a new bottle - how do I keep it squeeky clean??
I know some people actually take the lid off and wash it each time after they use it. I have had mine for almost a year now and I have used a sewing pin and it is now turning green (yummy!) from the corrosion. So.. I use that one specifically for glue and I have bought anothe crystal effects and hopefully will have better results this time.
Hello, Pardon my ignorance...what is this stuff used for? I recently went to a demo but was focused on other product and I missed the explanation. Thanks
Anne
Running the applicator under hot water will loosen up all the CE that is dried inside the tip. I also use a large safety pin the get it started between uses. However, I don't keep the safety pin in the tip while I'm storing it. I slide the pin under the label and store it with the cap on.
Crystal Effects is SU's version of a clear dimensional medium that works to add dimension or as a clear drying adhesive. For example, if you stamp a strawberry and apply it, it will make the strawberry appear 3-D and juicy/wet, when fully dry.
It is also known by the following names on the market:
3-D Crystal Lacquer by Sakura
Diamond Glaze by JudiKins
Glass Effects by Plaid
Paper Glaze by Ranger
It is also used to adhere bulky embellishments to projects and also by some to create the domed "page pebble" effect (similar to those round flat bottomed glass marbles).
And, I keep a small needle taped to the bottle to clear the nozzle when necessary. Has worked fine for at least 6 mos. so far.
HTH,

Thanks much Your Royal Rubberness. I had seen this on a honey pot stamp on the honey part, looked cool. Another thing to add to my Most Wanted List, LOL!
I was having the same problem with the glue from The Art Glittering System from The Art Institute. No matter what I do, it dries up inside the cap! Guess I should just start over with CE! Wish they had twist tops like good old Elmer's! I know, I know...it is hard to get a fine detail line with a tip like that.
A girl can dream, though!

I love this stuff. It works for so many things. I use the straight pin method with no problems yet. I find cleaning the tip right after use and then again before the next use helps. Good luck!!
