Okay, I am dyin' to get my kit now. Can I just say if you think it's out of your price range, make 40 cards and sell them!! Don't buy snake products, you can't sell them at your workshops!! The only thing I tell people to buy elsewhere is the monoadhesive because they can get them with the 40 % discount coupon from Michael's or JoAnn Fabrics. They'll appreciate your honesty and you'll creat total loyalty.
OMG Rita, I am the same way! I am thinking about a second mortgage on the house though -- that might cover it I started putting stuff in for my first order and I looked at the total and about passed out!! I have to remember I have all year to order, don't need everything all at once, even though I want everything NOW, NOW, NOW

I don't think a second mortgage is enough!!!  I'll just have to rob the bank!!!!
I took advantage of the hostess special this month and by the time I had ordered the things I thought were necessary to keep my business going and growing I still couldn't "justify" buying the crafters' tool kit. But after reading all the responses here, I think I made a wrong decision. Perhaps I should have bought it instead of some stamps!?? :? Nahhhh

Rita dear, I think you are missing the point. You should have bought the tool kit in addition to all those stamps   Jusification, hmmmm, how can I expect my customers to purchase it if I dont' have it. Does that work?
I LOVE the new Tool Kit! My tools are sharp, so I suppose if yours aren't for one reason or another, SU! should exchange it for you.
I love the template, the additional places to put other items if you need them, the case itself! I have THREE other kits (including the original one they came out with last year with the box and the MM one). I love the SU! one the most. I often find that I need more than one of each tool when I show the eyelets and such since I usually have larger groups for workshops and classes. Makes things go more quickly to have more than one, so there...another reason to buy this kit even if you have tools already!
You will be so pleased to buy it and show it since your customers will want it...we are all so enthusiastic about it HOW could we not sell this item?!!!

OK---- now, Ive had my Crafters Tool Kit for 3 weeks- I just keep looking at it, happy to have it, but havent played with it. But now that Ive read all these posts, I finally opened it up to play with, and jeez-what-took-me-so-long!!!! Those punches are SO sharp!! And I pierced a bunch of papers, and I tried the wire daisy- Now Ive decided to have a class on just the Tool Kit! Everthing we make will be using the kit! Im getting excited about it!!

Ok, so I added the kit to my order, which shipped today, and it's backordered!!!! ARGH!!! That and the aquapainters (which did show up on the backorder list this week). Anyone order these recently and already show them shipped?
I also ordered the crafter's kit, and my whole order shipped out yesterday, with the exception of the crafter's kit. Guess I'm going to have to wait a little longer to learn how to set all the eyelets I just bought :? I called DS to see when it was going to start shipping since it wasn't on the backorder list as of this afternoon. The guy I talked to said that they actually are in stock as of today, but they are filling all the previous backorders first (must be a bunch!). So even though they actually had it in stock, we were placed on backorder, while the rest of our order shipped. So I guess it is a good thing that they didn't hold everything else up. He thought that they should be all caught up pretty soon. At least this is what he told me. I hope that "soon" really does mean soon!
When I checked earlier, mine was still backordered along with my aquapainters. . .oh well, they're the only things I didn't get but I'm anxiously awaiting them.
My upline has the kit and it's great and I wasn't going to put it on my first order but after seeing hers, I couldn't resist!

Don't give up hope ladies!! My toolkit was on backorder also, but I received it today and all I can say is WOW!! I haven't had a chance to play with it yet, and probably won't until next week after DH leaves, but I am very impressed with the packaging and all the cool tools! Can't wait to play!
I'd've (yes, that's a word - I use it all the time )
I just about fell out of my chair when I saw your "I'd've." That is too funny. You're making this future English teacher cringe so early in the morning! I love it!

I love my tool kit but I did notice at Michaels yesterday that they hd a kit for about 30.00. There was no mat or eyelet template guide or handy case, but if thats ok you could use your 50% off coupon.
Personally, I think the $ for the case and eyelet template is worth it.
At convention, Brent Steele showed us how to make a wire daisy by wrapping wire around the prongs of the wire cutting tool, wrapping it in the center, then moving the "petal" around to make a daisy. Really cute!
BTW....I used the paper punch to open the sides of a copper edge tag.....it went all the way through and bent the tip! so be careful with your new babies. I dont think i can straighten it.....oh well.
the paper piercing template is incredible......can't wait to demo it!
