I know there are so many clever ladies on SCS that I could come here for help!
My DD is getting married in October and for her bridal shower she would like a causual gathering at our house - we have a pool.
Any clever, fun wordings for the invitation, to indicate that it's a Bridal Shower/Pool Party?
Thanks for your help in advance.
I made invites (cased from a website I was surfing) -- basically Your Invited on the front
to a party by the pool on the inside.
But the card design included a bridal shower looking umbrella - paper pieced to resemble a beach umbrella. Striped designer paper "fringed" became a towel. Really cute. Embossed cool caribbean CS mounted on Choc Chip (one of the brides colors) was the pool. The bride loved them.
Hi,
What about something with "take the plunge"?
"____ & _____ are taking the plunge soon, and you can join in"
I'm not sure that's exactly right, but I hope it helps. I'll let you know if I come up with something better.

That's what I was thinking, too!
Have an upside down umbrella with the bride and guests jumping into it -- water splashing. Of course you need to make sure they understand there actually is a pool ("don't forget your swimsuit as we enjoy our cocktails poolside") ;)
Wow, thanks ladies. You are the best! I posted this last night and turned off the computer. What a nice surprise to find so many clever ideas for me to play with. Thanks again and keep posting other brain storms.
