Clean and Simple (CAS) Favorites for the Week Ending December 12, 2010
It was an awesome week in the gallery, and I want to take this opportunity to congratulation our new CAS Challenge Design Team! Biggan, cindybstampin, and NancyK...y'all ROCK!
And so do all those who applied for the team, who participate in the CAS challenges, who post CAS cards, and who leave comments on CAS cards. When I think back to two years ago, before the CAS movement on SCS got going, there was not much in the gallery or forums about CAS. Now, well, there's a lot of CAS love going around, and isn't it glorious!?!?
Lots of favorites this week, despite having hardly any time to surf the gallery. Please post links to your own CAS favorites on this thread...everyone is invited to participate!
Julie Gearinger used a CAS color scheme on her very detailed and elegant Merry Christmas card
patsmethers made me jump for joy with her adorable little mouse card
hskelly showed how white cardstock and black ink can make a gorgeous Christmas card
crazystampchick made a fun window card with a great color scheme for the holidays
nancy littrell used dp simply and stylishly on her Heard from the Heart card
uncbballfan sponged and resisted to CAS perfection with her Merry Christmas snowy scene
snail used flower soft and created an awesomely pretty glow for her Glowing Candles card
Francie G. used just the right amount of glitter on her pretty and Sparkling Christmas Holly card
k dunbrook's Home for Christmas card made me sigh with peaceful joy...check out the silver cord and two rhinestones perfectly placed!
ejkeaton used blue paired with white-on-white embossing to make a stylish and pretty ornament card
darhm made a crisp and colorblocked Northern Frost card that I absolutely must CASE. It's wonderful!
what's_her_name used half pearls perfectly on her gorgeous Merry Christmas holly card
Jennifer Styles used two big background stamps to create a fun scene on a one-layer over-the-hill card
Heather T made a whole set of watercolor ornament cards that are so elegant that includes THIS lovely one
sleepyinseattle used a crisp white background for her richly colored poppy card
sunshinestgurl used kraft and pink for a warm and wonderful Winter Wishes card
lnl96 made a light blue and red Peaceful Pigeons card that is both elegant and fun at the same time
stampinandrea used silver with pops of red for a gorgeously high-impact CAS Christmas card!
Thanks again to EVERYONE who posted CAS cards this past week! Now it's your turn to share your favorites with the world so we can all see what we missed in the great big gallery!
Happy Sunday,
Firstly I want to give a big shout out thank you to Susan....aka....LateBlossom for starting this thread every week. I love seeing the cas's of the week as often I miss spending time in the gallery. I know so many others love coming here too so thanks Susan for all the time and effort you spend.
Next, I also want to thanks Susan for the mention of my Home for Christmas card. I so appreciate it!! I just got that stamp last week when I went to the One of a KInd Craft show in Toronto with my BFF.... Just wonderful stamps to choose from.
We are supposed to get a snow storm here today. It looks like it has already started. Good day to stay cozy and warm and finish up a few things.
Thanks for a beautiful week in the gallery my friends! LYMI

Mary T/ jandjcc- It's like a Christmas present to make it to the CAS favorites thread. Thank you so much for mentioning my Wreath/Bow card among these talented stampers. Sometimes the mojo just comes on strong and something wonderful comes out of your fingers. Love when that happens.
Thank you so much Diane/fionna51 for adding my card to your favorites list. (big smile)
Thank you k dunbrook and Crafts for letting me know. Have a fab day everyone. : )
susan, thank you so much for mentioning my flower soft card and thank you, karen, for letting me know. the only card i put in my faves this week is susan's christmas for those who mourn card. the sentiment is perfect for those of us who struggle with the holidays because of the loss of a loved one and who do not feel very merry.
What a treat Susan to be on your fav. CAS list for this week. CAS is becoming one of my favorite styles.....esp. during the busy holiday season. Thank you Karen for the heads up. You girls are the best. Happy Holidays....
Thanks, Susan and Mary, for mentioning my card. A smudge of ink, salvaged by ribbon placement, and my card made it into the faves thread. How cool is that!
And the entire set of 5 cards made by Heather T, starting with this one.
Congrats to everyone on their beautiful work, and thanks to everyone for sharing and commenting.

OMGosh thank you so much MaryT for mentioning my Peaceful Wishes in post #9 that I made today. I am just too tickled. I don't think I have ever made either of the Favs. This is truely an honor.
Browsing through the CAS favourites on Sunday is a pastime I look forward to. I decided to organize myself to share a few of my favourites this week. Thank you Susan for your mention of my watercolour cards and thankyou for sharing your favourites every week.
I love the beautiful scene I found in the gallery of Hobbydujour, where a butterfly made from a bow flits through a garden
The sweet little threesome stamped by Loretta L is perfect CAS.
I can't go past a beautiful snow laden tree so this card by CAKath really caught my eye.
Smoatsmom create a cute little stack of gifts I am keen to CASE as soon as possible.
Karen never fails to wow me with her cards and this monochrome scene mounted on embossed flourishes is no exception. Beautiful snow and trees again caught my eye along with soft aqua sponging by Linda.
Biggan is always such an inspiration and this week her sponged oval with a gorgeous laser cut branch really wowed me.
Die cut diva created a beautiful crisp red and white scene.
Lateblossom added a bunch of beauty to the gallery this week but this one was my favourite
Thanks, Linda, for adding my one-layer card to all the lovely cards mentioned today! I'll add my thanks to others for Susan starting this thread each Sunday, and to Karen for always letting people know. What a great community!

Reason: misspelling
Heather T, thank you for mentioning my Stack of Gifts card! And Karen Dunbrook, thank you again for bringing it to my attention! You're both so sweet.
Heather, I like how you wrote a nice description about everyone's cards; it was a pleasure to read your words as much as it is to pop over and see those cards.
