Default Canvas VS Linen background stamps

I totally cant tell much difference in the book and havent seen the Canvas or Linen background stamps in person--any opinions on which one I should get?
Its just so hard to tell by the photo in the book. Any opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks

I have both--if I were just going to buy one, it would probably be Linen. It is a finer texture. Canvas looks more like a fine mesh.

ditto. I have linen, canvas and aida! And like them in that order. Linen is simply the BEST background stamp I have ever used.

Linen for me too if I had to choose. I absolutely loved canvas until linen came along.

I have both and like children, I couldn't pick my favorite. Linen is more feminine, canvas more masculine, so they both have their uses! ;)

Linen is my preference too ... in fact, I traded away my Canvas for something else!

I used Canvas like crazy, until I got Linen. Now I use Linen on more than half of my projects and rarely use Canvas. But I won't let go of it either! I think Linen combines nicely with other backgrounds as it is more subtle.

I loved Canvas until I got linen. I loved Linen until I got Aida. I will never part with Linen or Aida. I am not using Canvas quite as much any more.

I have both, I tend to use linen much more, but only because it is a softer look. Canvas definately has it's place, especially on male cards.

I've been using my canvas..and still loviing it. It all depends on your cards, if you want the soft look, go for linen. I like canvas b/c I tend to have an artsy card and the images are bold and cartoonish. It gives the background its own look and stands out on its own. When I want my background to have the textured look, I apply my canvas in a brownish color.

What everyone said. I have both and used Canvas a lot before Linen came out. Canvas looks nice on masculine cards. Linen looks beautiful on feminine cards or when you need to add a little visual texture.

HTH!

Thanks everyone for your comments...very helpful...I have canvas and love it...was wondering whether I should get linen...I like the idea of canvas for masculine and more texture...and linen for a feminine softer look...linen it is for my next order...thanks

Canvas: window screen (Cute As A Bug)
Linen: burlap (All Wrapped Up)

You mean I have to choose? I can think of many more uses for both!
